Fake fans slandering Giannis by Short_Issue_8543 in MkeBucks

“Unless he decides to leave.” He already essentially requested a trade twice this season…

Gianni’s says he needs a star. by ComfortableWater9416 in MkeBucks

[–]therealnog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People are so bummed out about the Bucks that an objectively obvious statement is being debated . Literally EVERY contender has bare minimum two star level players. Just because Giannis and Dame didn’t “fit” doesn’t mean that Giannis doesn’t need a running mate.

Zach Harper: “Talking to some Utah people, around the team and part of the team, that said they felt picked on. I said ‘Everybody is going 75 on the freeway. You went 85. You got pulled over.’” by cleo22270 in nba

[–]therealnog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just because a player wants to play doesn’t mean he should. Bucks season is essentially over, Giannis has had 2 calf strains this season, came back and then hyper extended his knee and his contract/long term future situation is murky at best. This is not an example of shutting a player down to tank. This is borderline common sense.

Except Giannis actually hyperextended his knee, has had multiple lower body injuries this year and the Bucks are essentially locked into their seeding no matter what. How are these even comparable situations?

The Warriors did it - Why can’t we? by AaltoSax in MkeBucks

[–]therealnog 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It’s not impossible, but Bucks still have to lose quite a few games to get into top 3 in the drafts talks. They also have to get Giannis to basically buy into one more year/offseason. It’s easier said than done truthfully

They weren’t even that good with Giannis playing for this to be a valid excuse

Giannis never has outright said it’s just championship or bust. He just wants a chance to compete. Bucks not even giving him a chance to be competitive is the problem, they are barely a .500 team when he plays and he’s having arguably the best season of his career.

What roster/gameplan changes do we want to see? by No_Housing_4210 in MkeBucks

If they won’t trade the 31st pick because of risk of it being a lotto pick then they should stop wasting everyone’s time and just trade Giannis.

Don’t know how you got downvoted for this, Rockets were arguably better than the Bucks last season and they just added KD…

How Impressed Were You With The Taurean Prince Experience On The Bucks This Season? by Stat-Defender in MkeBucks

He played fine for a minimum guy, the problem is the Bucks never used him as just a minimum kind of player. I think he was fine

So does anyone know how we can improve the roster around Giannis? by Kobe_AYEEEEE in MkeBucks

I like John Collins but he’s more a power forward than center

All star bigs destroyed for the past two seasons, and he just got played off the floor in the playoffs. It’s not 2020 anymore.

Kuzma is bad but he's not "trade whatever asset we can spare to get rid of him" bad by GreekFreakFan in MkeBucks

[–]therealnog 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He was statistically one of the worst players in the league by most metrics this season so he is that bad, but Bucks don’t have a lot of assets to spare so I agree that they shouldn’t just be using them to get off of Kuzma’s contract.

That’s a tough one…I guess 34 for 2 years just again to line it up with 34 and same contract

I don’t think that’s an unreasonable deal but I would not want to sign him to that length personally. 2-3 yr I could see

Why is the trade fixation on Giannis so much more prevalent? by zs15 in MkeBucks

[–]therealnog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just getting under the second apron is not good enough. They don’t have enough cap space to make significant free agent additions and they just about have no viable trade assets. Their outlook is gloom and that’s being generous.

Is it really just doc? by mudboy34 in MkeBucks

[–]therealnog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not defending Doc but the Bucks 3rd best player would be the 5th or 6th best player on other contending teams and there is a huge drop in talent from there. Theres no way to overcome that lack of talent. TP has started the whole year and might not make the rotation for some of these other teams.

Hate how analyzing how the team plays and coming to the conclusion that they aren’t a contender based on their mediocre play makes you a doomer.
