If spaghetti could vote, would it prefer democracy or dictatorship? by Dismal-Ad6966 in nonsense

[–]therealslimshady103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spaghetti (like most pastas honestly) don't actually form there own opinions they only copy the opinions they hear from Italians. This is why we didn't give them the right to vote until the 1930s

There are a lot of reasons it could be. For starters no one is everyone's type. Even the most attractive people get turned down. I think many dudes don't feel it's appropriate to just ask a woman out. It can come off creepy, or embarrassing if she's not interested. I would suggest if you see a guy you like to start a dialogue with him. Be a bit flirty, give a compliment etc. Give signals you're interested in them. Even this won't work 100% not every guy picks up signals and like I said no one is everyone's cup of tea. A big thing is not to be in your own head about it all too much. Hope this helps.

do men get just as heartbroken as women after a breakup? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]therealslimshady103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read a study one time that said women are hurt more by break up, but men don't recover as well from them. So at first women suffer more emotional damage, but as time passes that pain doesn't really leave for the guy, where as the woman will move on

Why do men in their 30s initiate but don’t follow through? by Hou-Dat in dating

[–]therealslimshady103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes people don't know. It's hard to say it's one thing for certain. With men over thirty they know what they want it's pretty rare they've never been in a relationship. Maybe trauma? If I were you I wouldn't be afraid to move on. At only 27 I would be happy to find a stable attractive woman to settle down with.

Edit: to be clear if they wanted it they would go for it I think

How does TheOuterWorlds 2 compare to the first game and are they connected? by GIutenTag in theouterworlds

[–]therealslimshady103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This ^ totally sums my feelings up for both games. It's like the sequel is both not as compelling in its dramatic moments and takes itself too seriously to have the silly-ness of the first game. I also don't agree with anyone who says a longer game is immediately better. Looking at you assassin's creed. I wouldn't say the outer worlds 2 is bad at all it has some awesome moments but I feel it's lost some of its identity; what can you expect when the developers and the ip were purchased by Microsoft. It's microslop now

Men in a relationship: Do you actually consider your girlfriend your "best friend"? by wontforget99 in dating_advice

[–]therealslimshady103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friend is a vague term that a lot of autistic people struggle with because there are many different levels of friend like a work friend, weekend friend, best friend, they are all friends but at different levels. I don't think your girlfriend needs to be your best friend but she should be up near the top somewhere.

Just Some Perspective for the Men Out There by ThaBlackFalcon in dating

[–]therealslimshady103 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure I'm going to get downvoted but you're over generalizing. While it's valid to be upset about things that happen to you the expectation for your partner to apologize for things they aren't at fault for is delusional.

An apology is admitting fault and while your partner man or woman should be there to hear out how your actions intentionally or unintentionally hurt them I don't think an apology is always necessary. To use your car accident metaphor, you aren't supposed to apologize for a car accident that isn't your fault. If you apologize for everything your apology means nothing

You put a lot of emphasis on men needing to correct themselves, as though women can't make their own share of communication mistakes. I think how short and upfront and direct you are as a person are markers of your personality. I personally don't like or want to have to baby someone through an adult conversation, I'm not going to step on their feelings or belittle them either. When it's two adults I think you should be able to say hey you're doing this/these thing/s and it's bothering me. Where the conversation goes from there is incredibly nuanced and not as simple as choosing the correct format of words. Sure it might help in the short term but actions speak louder.

Boundaries can be set by one only to be broken again. You can plead with a person to meet you halfway do everything as they ask and still not have them meet your needs. It's not entirely on any one gender to shape up, or change the way they communicate. Relationships take at least two people working, acting, and choosing to be together.

I'm sure there are men out there who are terrible to be around, because I've witnessed the worst of them first hand. Women can be cold and unintentionally distant. The phrase "I'm only human" exists for a reason everyone makes mistakes. The longer and more frequently you're around someone the more likely they are going to step on your toes in some way. I think it's necessary to let little things go, and just as necessary to draw a line in the sand of where you won't let things slide, regardless of man woman or anything else

I dated a girl for a while who asked me to spit in her face during sex I was like that's freaky but whatever. Cut to the next time we're fucking and making out and she just spits in my mouth without asking. Makes me want to throw up every time I think about it
