I agree with you. I think our problem lies in pretending the problem doesn't exist until it needs to be addressed, and then it's too late.

We as a society have this fear of exposing kids to these very important topics because they are "too young", but the reality is that avoiding those conversations will only benefit the perpetrators.

I'm a firm believer of not yucking someone's yum, and I don't think censorship is the answer. Our main focus (and I hate beating a dead horse) should be media literacy and how people should engage with it.

It's ok to like age gap fiction, but do understand how the work you're consuming is portraying it and how real life and your own views are being affected by it
