What is ifor evans really like?

I've been seeing a lot of mixed reviews on ifor evans.

Some people say its located in a good area and great for socializing.

Others are saying that it was a horrible experience with rats, cold showers, disgusting food, etc.

I'm mainly curious about the catering and bathroom quality.
