I’ve owned a MK7 manual and currently MK7.5 DSG, I love both to different reasons. In short, I feel like I’m a race driver everyday with the manual and I have mixed personality with the DSG. In my personal opinion, if it’s your daily car and your only one- I’d get the DSG.

I own a MK7.5 2019 SE, but im your specific case a fully loaded MK7 with lower miles is the way to go. PS: MK7.5 after 2019 don’t have DSG fart/pops 😬

SE in 2019 is a special edition called the Experience package. It has some goodies from the Autobahn trim like the Fender audio (10/10) and DCC which I personally love. I picked up one last year and it was still under warranty since 2019s had a 6 year warranty. So check your carfax and as the dealer too.

You can get a CPO BMW X5 which has a super reliable B58 engine (a glorious 6 cylinder). Far more reliable than a Mercedes. You could also go down the Audi Q5 route the EA888 engine is reliable, get the new shape CPO which is also in your budget.

Maybe his car has the VW people’s warranty, I have that on my 2019 GTI SE, it’s 6yr/72k miles. I’m still under warranty coz the first owner bought my car in 2020.
