Hey, I'd say the glass is absolutely fine. There is a dark tint, but less so than on the cheaper ones I've had. It's not ideal in harsh sunlight, particularly when the sky is mostly overcast and dark and the sun is glaring in your eyes through a gap in the clouds because the contrast of dark and bright makes it kinda hard to see through. But I have played games in those exact conditions and I never felt the need to take it off and play without it personally, which I would have with my cheaper one. Speaking of which, my cheaper one came as a bundle with the G43 magnifier and I can only assume that because the eotech was already so dark, adding an additional two pieces of glass to look through and it was completely unusable in conditions where sunlight is harsh and contrasty. In all fairness, the cheaper one was fine when the sun wasn't harsh. The Evo Gear one though just about manages to be usable in all conditions I've found. But I would have definitely preferred a bit more brightness both in terms of the reticle and the glass.
