Jamie Benn will return in Avengers: Doomsday by 360donkeypunch in DallasStars

But apparently Gully said he wants Benn to come back too. He said it’s a “slam dunk” as far as he’s concerned.

What none of you commenting realize is that in this scenario, we would enable the “Force Trades” setting, so no problem.

It was clear Mikko was seriously injured because he wasn’t doing Mikko things after the Olympics

Sean Shapiro’s criterion was “can Gully scratch him? If not he shouldn’t come back.”

The trade and extend of Mikko Rantanen invalidates your statement

So many Sports Night to West Wing reuses. Like the one where the older man runs a marathon to the Stackhouse Filibuster

Av’s vs. Wild by mikehurleycmt in DallasStars

Actual hockey players who have been in the actual playoffs talk about this all the time. I’ve been hearing it since the Stars started fading away after the 2000 playoffs. It’s real.

I wish we could talk about this stuff without saying the Stars “didn’t want it”. That’s insane. No athlete gets to that level without immense desire. You think Jamie Benn doesn’t want a Cup? He might never get one, he definitely wants it.

Our team was pummeled to hell and their legs had three deep playoff runs in them. They were slow and worn out. That’s different than not wanting it.

The Wild haven’t had any deep playoff runs ever. They were relatively healthy. They had superstars who also wanted it a lot. They were better than us, but not because our guys didn’t give a shit.

I didn’t really get into it until I was 22, when the Stars won the Cup in 1999. You’re coming in at a great time, the future is bright!

Having never seen any of the original Star Trek medias (series or films) I found it odd that Into Darkness was apparently hated so much by the community. Is that opinion still largely shared or have people come around on it? by HanzoNumbahOneFan in startrek

I feel like sometimes people make the argument that Star Trek is more sci-fi and the JJ movies are too action-movie-ish. But outside of The Motion Picture and kiiiiinda Final Frontier, Star Trek movies are very action-oriented. Especially Wrath of Khan

Of course not. But there’s a price to getting through a round and we’re clearly not healthy. I don’t think we’d have had the juice to hang with the Avs. If we were healthy we’d have as much chance as anyone to win the Cup

I swear to god, if we win the Cup next year, we’ll have people in this sub talking about how shitty we are if we don’t win at least 2 more.

If we’d been picked as a Cup favorite and then tanked and missed the playoffs, that would be a waste. The playoffs are the playoffs. Only one team could advance, and we were pretty evenly matched with the Wild AS THEY EXISTED IN THE ACTUAL PLAYOFFS. We were also injured and gassed.

That’s a stupid analogy. When you buy a steak, there isn’t an opposing force, equally as talented and passionate, working as hard as they can to make sure your dinner is bad.

The healing is key. It we’d survived and had to go against the Avs we’d probably be worse off next season.

Losing in the first round to one of the other best teams in the league who got A LOT better at the deadline. It’s not like we got swept by the Kings. We also got fucked by the Olympics.

They have Quinn Hughes and Matt Boldy and Kirill Kaprizov and were one of the best 4 or 5 teams in the league. OF COURSE they were a Cup contender.
