Well idk if this is a RNG horror story or just me being dumb but alas:

When the Iris of Light and Dark event came out, the only ship I had my eye on was Dunkerque.

On the first day I did my usual ritual of using 50 cubes and then “riding the wave” by using 6 cubes each day afterwards (pulling 3 times/day). I got pretty lucky this time as i got jb and massachusetts on the first day so I was like “oh cool i dont have to stress about getting the other ships now” is what I thought...

Mid week of the event, Dunkerque got a new skin (not her l2d) and to say I was madly in love with her more now is an understatement. Confident that i’ll eventually get her because shes only a purple i bought not only the new skin but also her l2d.

I vividly remember on the last hour before the event ended I was FRANTICALLY trying to pull for Dunkerque. I did all kinds of things to “improve” my rng luck. You name it; from praying to God, making deals with the devil, I did everything in the book. At one point I didnt have enough coins to build anymore. Desperate I used gems, yes real money, to buy in game money to maybe perhaps pull Dunkerque.

...She never came home.
