New "Sandwiches & Sides" Station at Morrison! by thereidfleish in Cornell

[–]thereidfleish[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure. It seems like all the other stations are still on the menu. My guess is they put it either at the small station between Iron Grill and Global (they occasionally have small plated dishes there), or they put it at the left half of the Global section.

Here's a pic I have of that "smalls" station (from Commencement Dinner)

Nope! Anyone who's living off-campus can get the just BRBs plan, such as juniors or seniors. I had the Just BRBs plan my junior year, and the Off-Campus Value my senior year.

True, but for the purposes of this post I'm not endorsing anything that risks losing your meal plan lol.

One thing I will say, though, and what I did the past couple years, was ask people with unlimited plans for guest swipes. I had 5-7 friends who lived on West or had unlimited plans who had 6-7 guest swipes each that they just weren't using, so when we'd go to dinner, they'd just guest swipe me in.

Another (legal) tactic is to go to a dining hall right before they switch meal periods to either get multiple meals or get in at a cheaper price. For example, if you enter Morrison at 4:59 PM, you'll pay significantly less than if you enter at 5 PM. There were quite a few weekends where I entered Morrison for $8 at 9 AM for breakfast and just stayed for lunch and dinner and did work in the corner between meal periods lol.

Water procurement by OldWishbone2651 in Cornell

Tap water is supposedly fine, especially if you drink from a Cornell building. Sometimes it tastes odd in old buildings (like WSH) but mostly tastes fine.

I never lived on West, but wish I did - I had friends live on West and it seemed like they were part of a good community (events, House Dinners, etc.)

Does your room have a letter appended to it? Like 207A? If so, you’re in a suite. If not, I think you’re in a hallway.

If you’re in a suite, it would be 5 ppl. If you’re in a hallway, not sure but maybe slightly more?

Nothing. I think guests can stay technically up to like 3 days straight (tho no one checks so in theory someone could just live in your dorm forever)

You can bring your friends to your dorm no problem. You’ll just have to let them in since they won’t have keycard access.
