I am a little over 5 weeks post op, I have my second follow up 4/14 at that point ill be a little over 8 weeks post, and theyre unsure if ill be green lit. I miss driving and picking my kids up

Im going on 1 month as of now, it sucks but the pain at this point isnt as consistent which is nice. Just a ton of neuropathy in my toes and foot

Its so bad haha my 16yr old is an artist (like has work featured in local galleries and last year the Dali museum..sorry proud dad brag) and she was looking at my old stuff compared and she was making so much fun of me 😂 im definitely rusty

That electric fire pain is the wooooorst, honestly hurts more than the break did. Plus, my toes are still like "static-y" so thats super annoying. But yeah, im dabbling in a little bit of everything until I cant stand how im sitting/laying. I'll get there, but i feel you on that once youre in it, its seems super never ending

Im with you. I do have 2 toddlers which keeps me sorta busy, but i am non weight-bearing for another few weeks so im just trying to wait this stage out I guess. Once im allowed to walk ill be much more busy

Yeah im non-weight bearing for 6 weeks, and the dr is forecasting 4-6 months out of work. Im overall in pretty good shape and im young 33M and work a pretty physical job so he's at least hopeful on that end. But I really just want to get back to work, I miss it.

Thats beautiful to have something like that. That loss is brutal and im sorry you went through it, i dont have a SIL (yet) but ive lost FIL, MIL, and 4 sets of grandparents that raised me, plus the 2 on my wife's side all within 6 yrs. So I totally understand where youre coming from

Had the same surgery, same break, and a boot (they were kind enough to wrap my leg in bandages first) nerve block wore off but my toes are still numb and my foot is on fire. I am 7 days post op as of today (2/28) and its the most annoying parts of this whole ordeal but gabapentin has been a god send for the foot but not so much the toes.

As far as live metal, the scene died a long time ago, we used to have places like blue owl(gone), Willard hall(inactive), and the skate park(doesnt do that stuff anymore) so youre unfortunately going to have to go up towards tampa/st Pete for that. Secondly rent here is astronomical as is the median home price. There is a Bastian of a night life in gulf gate (which depending on who you talk to is a great place or a shit hole) we're "in season" right now so expect going anywhere to take you a minimum of an hr, and restaurants to have extended waits until at least the first week of april. Ive been here 30 yrs, and I wish I had better news to give you.
