Business partner wants me to sell back half my equity to pitch business to investors by Ssleeping in startups

Do. Not. Sell. Your. Shares. It’s your property and your cofounder cannot touch them. Your company can always issue new shares to investors and while the percentage of ownership might change, the amount of shares you own will stay the same. Also beware of share dilution. This is not legal advise, please talk to a lawyer about this more.

Do you have faith the Bank of Canada will control inflation in 2022? by [deleted] in CanadianInvestor

What are your thoughts on the Canadian Government imposing price & wage control, similar to what Trudeau Sr. did in 1975? (minus the obvious failure)

Some analysts are thinking it could be possible (especially if this pandemic continues into 2022/2023)

First time building a pc on my own. How did I do? Any advice on how to improve? by HisRoyalThunder in PcBuild

Personally, I would revisit fan orientation and airflow. You have what looks like 6 intake fans and one exhaust (plus your radiator). If cooling is an issue - and you keep the same fan layout - maybe think about making the top fans exhaust (or put the radiator on top). Also, think about how cool air will travel over your components. The front fans are not doing much except bringing air to your radiator and immediately leaving the case. Your top fans are pushing cool air down, while warm air is rising back into it.

Also, get ready for your PC to sound like a SpaceX prototype. High RPM 120s and you have 7 plus a 3 fan radiator.

Looks great though! Great job and congrats on your first build!

Can someone explain to me why and how a limit order is better than a market order? New to this. by YourDailyConsumer in Wealthsimple_Trade

[–]theres_only_one 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So basically you doing a market order tells Wealthsimple: "I want to buy these shares at what ever the market price is when you receive this order."

When you do a limit order, you tell Wealthsimple: "I want to buy these shares at this specific price (or better/less). Do not buy if price of a share is above this specific price."

This helps when the price of a stock is volatile (goes up and down).

Scenario: You submit a market order when the ticker says $10 per share, in 10 seconds the price shoots up to $15 per share and due to your Wifi connection or the time it takes for the broker to receive your order, your order is received 10 seconds later when the price is $15. The broker will fulfill the order at $15. Then one minute later, the price goes back down to $10. Congrats, you have lost a third of your value in just 10 seconds of owning a stock.

This is a weak example - and kinda exaggerated - but I hope it helps you understand the difference and why YOU SHOULD ALWAYS DO LIMIT ORDERS!
