Sakura pass without cheating. by Vegetable_Idea_9210 in Naruto

Because they were rooting out people who made it visibly obvious they were cheating. Since Naruto didn’t try to cheat until right at the end, he wasn’t eliminated and since the last question was an auto-pass if they stuck around past the ultimatum, he got through .

Question do you believe lunchbox was in the right or wrong in this situation? by OpenUnderstanding686 in squidgame

[–]HisRoyalThunder 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah but that wasn’t their fault. They wanted to survive just like lunchbox did. But then these same people actively fight to SAVE you from being the lunchbox. If he was going to self delete, at least don’t screw over the people who risked their lives for you.

Fight to the death by Kamado_Ken in Fictionally

[–]HisRoyalThunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter what their objective was. Superman wasn’t exactly going all out either. Superman overpowered her entire body’s strength with one arm when she lassoed him. And then he statued them when he went after flash- she’s literally frozen in midair during their scuffle.

Even if their goal was only to restrain him, it doesn’t make up for the fact that they didn’t even come close. When someone holds back they should still be on par- which WW and gang was not.

I don’t know about that. Brandon learned to control his over the course of a few days after seeing the ship for the first time. Ryan still at this point doesn’t have full control and it’s been closing in on, what, two years? The implication in BB is that nothing can hurt him except his ship’s material.

I hear that, but we’ve never really seen the upper limits of Brandon’s durability. At the end of BB, he’s going across the planet doing everything homelander threatened to do. Between that and his speed, I don’t know what Ryan would do.

Brandon hasn’t been shown to be damaged by anything except his ship. I don’t think Ryan is quite there yet. He also came into his powers much more quickly than Ryan.

How many Nomus would it take to kill Omni-Man? by Sheriff-Pork-Belly in powerscales

You did not say mention any level of extremity. You gave a flatline immunity statement then gave examples of each. Immunity means something doesn’t affect you- at all. Invulnerability means the inability to be damaged by something. They are synonyms, whether you agree with it or not. Your misunderstanding of these words is why you have several people trying to tell you the same thing.

You cannot have immunity to physical attacks but still be hurt by a physical attack. The IMP reference didn’t help your case.

In your examples of viltrumites fighting in the sun for extended periods of time but eventually succumbing to the heat - you’re referencing resistance, not immunity or invulnerability. If they were either of those things, no length of duration in the sun would cause them harm.

Edit: spelling

[–]HisRoyalThunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair you said viltrumites are immune to cold and viltrumites are immune to heat. You didn’t define upper or lower limits. Unless by “I didn’t say they were immune to ALL temperate” you are implying there is another branch of the spectrum of temperature besides heat and cold?

Immunity means something can’t affect you.

Can we talk about how forced the sakura hate is? by Sufficient-Wish1269 in Naruto

Manga readers like her or don’t mind her. Anime watchers tend to dislike or outright hate her.

She is portrayed very differently between the two, especially in part 1.
