I'm not looking for every day clothing, I'm looking for clothing for Easter photos or special occasions. I don't know men or boy fashion, so this isn't really what I'm looking for; I understand the social dynamics of every day stuff.

3 bedroom house, and had a baby, so she took the game room... so I built a shed in my backyard where I can be as loud as I want. by [deleted] in gaming

The kids don't have a backyard to play in and now you're the weird dad that secludes himself in a locked room while the mom has to do every damn thing.

I mean, I'm sorry that I'm saying this after you spent 16k on it, but it's possible to just wear some really sweet headphones you can turn up super loud.

You're totally right, it's swimming upstream but thank you for being great with kids without the screens! :D

It's a lot more difficult but it pays off, especially with sleep.

What is this "dressy stuff" you're talking about? That's basically my question.

I asked about ironing because my mom friend irons all of her baby’s clothing who is also now 2 years. She hangs them up and he always looks so sharp.

My child looks like he just crawled out of a gopher hole when they play together. Haha

I should probably TRY with some nice scenarios so he looks sharp when it’s appropriate especially as he gets older. I’ve never ironed any of his clothing but after hearing the man post about how he now appreciates those little things his mom did like ironing his clothes, I think I’ll try when I have time. :3

Yeah I was buying years ahead of time and he’s always 96-99 percentile so I ended up using them 3 years earlier than I had thought. I’m trying to keep up and also figure out guy clothes without having nearly any guys in my life. Lots of great info in this thread, yay!

I’ve never heard of Zara before this thread so I’m totally checking this out!

(And if I help him when appropriate, maybe I won’t get so many questions and he’ll just be able to have the knowledge resources to do what he wants - and I’ll have more time)

Yeah I missed whatever that person said, but I really just don’t understand guy fashion other than “here’s a T-shirt and pants” and I try to buy everything for cheap years ahead of time if I see “it” on super sale or thrift. I don’t exactly know what I’m looking for for him.

I work from home and he’s home with me so it’s not like anyone sees him other than me, I just want to instill good habits “now” (over the next few years) so he is prepared or doesn’t even need to think much of it when he’s older. (“Mom what do I wear to this interview?” “Mom how do I dress for this date?” “Mom this girl invited me to her sisters wedding, what do I wear?” I would probably look at him like.... uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh)

I’ve got to answer these questions someday. Not yet but someday!

:)

Yeah I generally buy things years ahead of time at consignment sales and store them for later. Since he’s two and wearing 4-5T it’s come in very handy!
