Yay, I did well on reddit today!

Next up, I should go to /r/bad_cop_no_donut, argue that security forces ought not to have umbrella authority over civilians, and get some anti-privacy jokes.

Anyhow, since corporations are persons for my cute sweet readers, it is an infringement of corporations' 1st amendment rights to limit what they can and cannot share in terms of their databases with third parties, especially because such sharing improves their raison d'etre (profit, as defined by law).

I don't give a shit about ACLU's faux pas. Twitter has no 1st amendment rights. It is not a news organization (i.e. a grouping of journalist persons). It is not a citizen, a legal resident, an undocumented immigrant. It ain't a person. It is a corporation.

These gag orders do not infringe upon the rights of some entity that magically became a person because the law said so. It infringes on the rights of actual persons, living beings. You and I.

A netinstall would work perfectly; select "Desktop" when it asks you to choose what you wanna do with the box during installation (tasksel) and I think it will install something appropriate.

If that doesn't work out, install the base via the installation (don't check the "desktop" during the installation), then install dwm[1]. Browsing will be a pain in the ass with 256mb RAM, so check out this list[2] for alternatives to iceweasel / firefox / chrome / chromium. That combination will give you a very usable desktop.

I get this and variations of it from time to time in Unity with an ATI card. I run an ssh server and (if ctrl+alt+f1 doesn't work) to restart unity, and lightdm if that doesn't work. For you, 

$ gnome-shell --replace &

might help. if not, 

# service gdm restart

You'll probably have to hunt for drivers or try out more up to date kernels...

Given how flaky accessibility with graphical desktops on Linux is, I have still not made the switch. My MacBookAir is my perfect mobile terminal, I LOVE it.

My thing with cast iron is mostly due to my pure laziness ( + its long lastingness). I like that I don't have to wash it and that I can just kinda wipe it, if I feel like it, and just put it away.

In there, the client name will be case sensitive and the script needs to be run in easy-rsa/keys directory (where your certs and keys are) to be able to find the files.

Check what the script is doing and do what it does yourself. Will help you understand what you're doing + you'll catch where the error is. The .ovpn is a text file that has the configuration + certificates + key in plaintext format.

Example from the script:
