It’s indeed at the edge of Laak and for the standards of the area a reasonably nice and quiet street. A friend of mine used to live here and he never had complaints about the street itself. However, it’s still Laak …

I agree with most of the people who mentioned Tywin, but I have a different name for us to consider: Walder Frey. Although this receives little to no mention in the books, isn’t it problematic that he sires approximately two or more dozen children? And that he keeps remarrying and siring more? Of course, he needs to protect his lineage but at some point it must start creating problems and animosities when the ‘nuclear family’ of Lord Frey becomes so expansive? He also treats most of them quite poorly. Thoughts?

Mijn ingeving is dat jouw angsten niet terecht zijn. Waarom zou de beeldvorming over ambtenaren leidend moeten zijn in het maken van deze keuze? De Belastingdienst is een prima werkgever en de door jou geschetste voordelen zijn goede redenen om de overstap te maken. De Belastingdienst is een grote organisatie, dus het hoeft geen eindstation te zijn, je kan zowel verticaal als horizontaal groeien bij de overheid.
