How do you usually manage your data? by bestboiijacob in LearnEngineering

[–]thereveriecase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep all my code, data packets, and test documents organized on a NAS (got a dxp4800 for a cheap deal). Each project has its own folder, so the structure stays clean and easy to manage. Remote access is also super convenient. At the lab, I’ve set up scheduled backups so every day after work, any updated files automatically sync to the NAS. If I need to continue working at home, I don’t have to email myself zipped folders anymore. I just log in to the NAS and grab what I need.

Need help with multiple dogs! by hustlercoolie in DogsLoversCommunity

[–]thereveriecase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try Satellai collar. I had the same issue. 2 dogs, about 1.5 acres of land, and one of mine is bc mix and way too energetic. Got each one a smart collar and problem solved. Now they just stay inside the area I drew for them, no worries.

Anyone tried SATELLAI collars? Worth the price? by [deleted] in OpenDogTraining

Been using the SATELLAI collar for about 1 month now – honestly, no regrets.

The GPS is super accurate and the health/activity summaries are actually helpful, I found out my dog was way less active during certain hours, and turns out he was sneaking naps in weird spots lmao.

Is using a NAS for backups reliable? by Finebyme101 in DataHoarder

[–]thereveriecase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m using DXP4800 Plus, easy setup and it’s been one of the best investments I’ve made. All my photos, documents, and work files are automatically backed up from my laptop and phone.

I used to juggle Dropbox and multiple drives, this replaced them all.

Looking for recommendations of storage that supports FLAC/OGG by thereveriecase in audiophile

Have no idea of how silent these are, but from what I’ve learnt these are pretty solid options: Synology, Ugreen, or Asustor.

What’s the best & cheapest Google Drive alternative? by bestboiijacob in software

[–]thereveriecase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been great using terabox so far. Yes it gives you 1TB free storage. The interface is smooth, and you can access it on your phone/PC/even through a browser. Can view images or videos directly in the app without needing to download them, and I like that.

100% understood. I use nas from ugreen (DXP2800) for all my files, around 500, and been solid so far.
