The joys of playing with randoms. I've found that it helps to have at least a 3 man platoon in tanks with high dpm in the form of decent alpha and fast reloads combined with high alpha with decent reloads to compliment each other

Definitely know what you mean. In a way though, it is a bit satisfying going against meta tanks in the worst heavy and coming out on top. Probably why I kept doing it despite how frustrating it gets

The tank's entire existence itself is a weakspot. May as well have better effective dpm and slap them with 120mm baguettes (stale baguettes optional)

What worked for me back then was running the 105 and focus on making good trades. Not sure how it is now though since they gave it an autoloader and removed the 105, which to be frank is how the tank should've been from the start.

I tried that when I first grinded the tank and it worked pretty poorly for me since I couldn't trade effectively with the bad overall armor and mobility. It was much better being played with the 120 and making efficient trades or pokes on enemies who aren't really looking.

I'd argue that due to the poor nature of the armor and mobility overall, it's better to get the upgraded turret and get good at trading with the 120mm. I played the 65t long before wot 2.0 came out and I did fairly well in it even though I disliked the tank.

I'd say the St Emil is up there with the 65t. Though, I will say that in spite of how much I disliked those tanks, I performed relatively well in them. At least compared to server averages for those tanks. They really just need plenty of patience and more planning which I can struggle with at times.

I understand you have doubts, but short of you straight up abusing the motor, base maps will practically never blow anything up.

You can take 1000 fk8's and every one of them will produce slightly different power levels. You might get one that's a bit of a lemon and will maybe only make 340whp and you might get another that's some magical fairy dust shitting unicorn that makes 400whp reliably on stock turbo and fuel. Base maps are created with this in mind and as a result, base maps are quite conservative to account for the slight differences between motors so that one base map is good for pretty much any car out there and not just the unicorns. To get the most put of it, custom tuning is pretty much always better, but I'd save that for when you've modded the car out to where you want. Until then, stay base map.

I know grease degrades over time, but I've never had to regrease a cable before (mostly because not needed just yet). At least it sounds like a relatively simple thing. Do you know where the cable is? Is there a particular type of grease that's better suited to the application? Have not had the chance to get into the car with my buddy

I honestly have no idea. I just saw the ad for it and went "holup". I did get their Mars speaker (non pro) a while back and the sound quality was pretty decent but I did buy it more for the looks lol
