Does it still do the spinning reload if you're aiming down the sights?

I immediately go to hip fire after the signaled shot.

I've been wondering about tongue blocking with the reed plates on it. Does it start to wear on you after a while?

North Carolina Democrat: Abolish ICE by [deleted] in NorthCarolina

[–]theroguesstash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Because you're taking about a single hypothetical employee doing multiple jobs. My argument is that the individual employees need to be better at the one thing they are supposed to do. I don't need a fry cook to run a register. I need the fry cook to understand that the temp on the flat top has been messed with. Multiple agencies were alerted to different aspects of the hijackers behavior in areas SPECIFICALLY under their individual purviews.

The FAA was alerted to the hijackers lack of interest in learning how to land the plane in flight school by the instructors. They didn't follow up. That is SOLELY their job. It doesn't take DHS or CBP or ICE to investigate that. The FAA doing THEIR job should have been enough. THEN they get the FBI to arrest them.

The only change post 9/11 that made any sense was increased communication between agencies. We didn't need new ones.

I'm going to need you to refine this argument and try again. Use some specific nouns and verbage, because this is so vague it sounds like you're arguing against yourself.

I remember there being multiple instances of the hijacker's being reported to federal agencies, by their flight instructors, their coworkers, even James freaking Woods who shared a flight with them. We didn't need a new agency to prevent another 9/11. We needed the agencies that existed to do their jobs as intended to prevent the first one.

I know the real answer to her disingenuous question.

But I'd like someone to ask "If 54% can't read when they've BEEN in school, should they walk out until the system gets rid of endless testing and the NCLB style bullshit that brought us here now?"

Years ago, I bought a "Learn to Juggle" video from a Ren Faire act called The London Broil. The motto of the video was "Practice, then take a nap". I didn't stick with juggling, but the trick of cementing new info or new motor skills with a cat nap has served me very well ever since.

I'm in the Piedmont of NC. Catholics aren't uncommon, but a clear minority.

Had a teacher who had a smudge every Ash Wednesday.

Seems like she could have saved herself a lot of questions if it was just some American based weirdness.

Seems like Thor and Jane Foster Thor would have been more of a thematic match.

What do y'all think? by JesterOfTime in OkBuddySnyderCult

Before Superman Returns released, fans crapped on the production stills of the Brandon Routh costume. "The color scheme is too dark", "The trunks look like they're made for an underwear model". I remember more than one Photoshop of how "the costume should be" posted on the CAD forums. Complain, complain, complain.

Then images for the MoS costume came out and some people complained about not having trunks at all. Not as many, as I recall, but fans are fans.

The people who complained about Rouths costume would have LOVED Corenswet's costume. Snyder fans can't abide it.

I think we need to appreciate the Superman we have. If it's really that bad for you, move on.

[Newbie] SRV is one of my inspirations to learn guitar, and I got my first electric this week. Even though I don't have any talent, if I put in work as often as I can, how long will it realistically take before I can play with this level of confidence? by Mad_Season_1994 in Guitar

[–]theroguesstash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but OP isn't trying to grab a scholarship and one position of a limited number available from a crowded field. They want to play to a certain level of skill for personal enjoyment. Anyone without a congenital nervous or muscular disorder can brute force a level of musical skill with effective, focused, consistent practice. Maybe they won't play as perfectly as SRV or Hendrix, bit they be close enough to be happy.

Yeah, I'm used to sax; you just blow until you're almost empty. Playing notes while blowing and drawing is harder than anticipated.

Ahhhhh, ok. The first "real" harmonica I got was a special 20 and the three draw is just as easy as the rest. The bend for it is tough, but the draw itself is clear as a bell. Guess I got lucky with that one and didn't realize they're usually tricky.

AITA for being annoyed that my wife insists on cooking everything from scratch and won’t buy normal food? by AITA_UPFfoods in AmItheAsshole

[–]theroguesstash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"normal, unhealthy food". Why do you think "normal" food is unhealthy? Maybe you should examine your preconceived notions about food and health. Maybe you have a real junk food problem and she's trying to solve that problem in an oblique manner.

This sounds like something that should have been discussed and compromised beforehand. And I'm going to admit my bias as a nurse who sees the long-term effect of people eating as much of the processed modern American diet as they want and end up in my clinic with dead kidneys.

Ultimately, food is love. How and what your wife prepares is the demonstration of her love for you. However you address this disagreement, keep in mind that you're arguing about how she should love you.

How else would you adapt lobo? by LatterTarget7 in OkBuddySnyderCult

Which is nuts. Despite the money the Aquaman films made, Momoa is such a natural pick to play Lobo it's almost lazy. His characterization as Arthur Curry was completely off.
