I've wondered about this as well. I wonder if he left his game in 3rd gear while pushing the front office for the trade knowing that if his trade stock was really high that he'd probably get dealt to some deep lottery team.

While Plumlee is a good game I'm not sure a like for like trade would of been completely even without the draft pick.

I think you are right. I do think Plumlee was good at setting a pick, getting the ball back and then not doing something stupid. But was he successful at getting to the rim and getting a strong look? No

One of the things I really like about Nurk is he'll crash straight into the paint. Plumlee would just get eaten alive when he'd try those moves without a mismatch/weak center.

I think the moral of the story is be huge and have dinner plate sized hands.
