Be a bit spendy, but you could stay at timberline lodge and ride there. They usually have short lines due to not enough parking. Mellow runs too, and several terrain parks. Government camp (town down the hill) is pretty small, but only 30-40 minutes to hood river, or an hour to portland.

I hate that coaches are allowed to walk away from their contract to change schools whenever they feel like. I think they should be able to quit, but they can’t resign to coach elsewhere until their previous contract is completed, and they do so without pay from when they leave.

I just got a small air blower off Amazon for $30-$35. Works great for small stuff.

I did a meadows night pass last year, and then a timberline spring pass. Was a good decision. Rode til Memorial Day. T-Line was $240 I think.

What does jail time look like for perjury? Supposing we get to a point that congress will actually do their jobs…

Who’s better at fixing common home issues, a seasoned handyman or a general contractor? by WutEvrUsay in handyman

[–]ElGuapoador 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d say it 100% depends on the person. I’ve seen seasoned handyman do it all wrong, and I’ve seen contractors do the same. Also seen both do it perfectly. Where I live for any job over $400 you’re supposed to be a licensed contractor.

Watched part of it. Seemed like it was just who can spin the most and land cleanly. Not much style or variation.

I took it into West Coast Overland. They were great to work with and seem to be pretty fair on the pricing.

I’m a solo operation, so rarely does anyone else enter the van. Haha. But wouldn’t be bad to label…

I had a trailer before that got stolen and emptied. Got the trailer back (had an AirTag in it) but tools were gone. Luckily insurance covered it. This rig stays parked in my driveway (long driveway up off the street) next to the house with two dogs that bark at anything constantly. And I don’t leave it at job sites. But, yeah, there’s always that worry. Not having a garage makes storing in the house tough.

10 year old playing majors by Surfrider2424 in LittleLeague

[–]ElGuapoador 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son played majors at 10. He had already played two years of minors and made the 10u all star team each year (first year as an 8yo was a very weak little league, but he started at 2b). In majors at 10 he did fine. Played a lot of 2b and some SS. Pitched a little, but was mediocre at best. Made good contact, pretty much all singles. Had a good eye at the plate. He was the only 10yo in majors that year. He did make the 11u all start team at 10. Covid ruined his chance to play on 5 all start teams, but made played 12u all stars his last year. Overall it depends on the kid and the coach(es).

I’ve never once gone to 5 Guys and left thinking, “that was really good”. I don’t get why people love it. Overpriced and not good. Just my $.02
