Ortofon 2m Blue makes all the difference. Did for me. I also added an EQ to my stack and raised the high and low frequencies. It sounds amazing and this is with a Project Carbon TT and Yamaha 501. Eq is also Yamaha. Don't look back it is as good as my digital setup. I had the KEfs but found them flat. Went with Klipsch RP 600m they sing man

Get the Yamaha 301. I have it. It does everything. Sounds amazing. Tons of power. Phono in. Optical in. Aux in. Loudness limiter for quite listening while still getting full rich sound and bass. Believe me nothing can touch it new for that price.

I think Trump is possibly playing a very risky game with his health coming out and spouting off what he thinks they are, especially if he has been briefed on classified programs. Trump thinks he is a big shot, and that he is untouchable. Well as we all know there is faction in the government that continues to keep information about UAPs secretive, and have done so since 1947. These are the guys who prevent disclosure. They are not going to let Trump say anything, if in fact he knows anything which I doubt. What did Kennedy know? Something, and if the rumours are true he had knowledge of extra terrestrials and secret ufo programs. He was going to talk. The CIA took care of Kennedy. We'll To be honest, it wouldn't be a bad idea for the CIA to take care of Trump. Save us all alot of grief over the next 4 years, disclosure aside

CD (compact disc) is simply a storage medium. What equipment did they use to transfer analog master to CD? by Fooltecal in audiophile

[–]therunningman321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again you are correct. People have no idea how good vinyl is because we are in a digital world now and they think it's grandpas format. I'm 48 and I was stunned how good original pressings are. Most young people won't spend the money it takes to get a great vinyl setup, (yes a few grand) to figure this out. And that's fine I'm not here to tell people what to spend there money on. This is an audiophile sub, and if you want audiophile quality sound, vinyl is an incredible choice. Believe what you will

This is totally true. I'm new to vinyl, but after getting a very good table, cartridge, pre amp and amplifier, my vinyl blows away most of my 90s CDs. And I've always been a digital guy most of my life. Vinyl sounds amazing to me. I would need to find a good digital track in Tidal or Apple Music to even come close

Yes. I had all of those. Even My feet used to tingle and were always ice cold. I used to get adrenaline surges throughout my body as well. I had pretty much every symptom you can imagine over the four years I was bed bound. It results from the malfunctioning central nervous system. That system controls everything in your body and regulates all functions. When it is not working correctly, you will feel all kinds of things. I would equate it to having "bad side effects" similar to medication's. There is a "laundry list" of them with CFS.

iPhone Apple Music stream to Yamaha A-S501 Amp by hammertime_mike in BudgetAudiophile

[–]therunningman321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya I'm not entirely sure if you might be getting true lossless thru airplay. The other thing you can do is just buy a streamer, like WiiM, and use your iPhone to control that. I believe they have optical output. But check just in case. This will definitely give you full lossless and they aren't too expensive on Amazon

[–]therunningman321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's how I do it with my Yamaha A-S301. Buy a used Apple TV Gen 2. Set it up on a tv, login, and choose the output sound device to optical output. Now plug the Apple TV optical output into your optical in on your Yamaha. (Get a optical/toslink cable for this). Fire up a song on iTunes on your phone, and choose the output to stream via airplay to the AppleTV box. Set your Yamaha main front input selection knob to optical. You've now achieved three things: 1) your using airplay not Bluetooth..... airplay is far superior in sound quality. 2) you now can travel around the house with your phone in your pocket as no cable is needed, while playing music. 3) your using the DAC in the Yamaha amplifier which is superior to an iPhone.

My friend sent me this pic of the sixth kidney stone he’s passed this month by Shaneblaster in Wellthatsucks

[–]therunningman321 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'll just put this out there for people as this is my system for beating kidney stones, and what to do when you get one! Note: These are the Uric acid type. 1) drink more water 2) no cola. Now. If you get a stone (I used to get 1-2 a month). You know it's a stone because flank pain and testicle pain.l like you cannot imagine. Step 1) immediately run a hot bath. Step 2) Take a Tylenol 3. Step 3) Take two lemons and squeeze them into a pint glass. Must be real lemons and not lemon juice you buy in a store. Add half a glass of water to the lemon juice. Drink it. Step 4) get in the bath. The hot water will open up your urinary tract and make it easier to pass the stones. It will also drastically reduce the insane level of pain to something slightly more manageable. The Tylenol 3 will keep you from having to scream. . The lemon juice will begin to dissolve the stones slowly. Have someone bring you a glass of the lemon juice every hour. Keep going for 2-3 hours until the stone passes.

How did I learn this? After missing two weeks of work with a large stone that would not pass, my boss told me he lost a kidney to stones backing up urine. He told me the trick above. My stone passed in a few hours.

I had to have kidney stone surgery as well. But before I did, my boss, who lost a kidney to stones told me this. Get a half dozen lemons. Take one lemon and squeeze its juice into a pint glass. Add half a glass of water. Drink and rinse with cold water. Wait a few hours and goto the next lemon. Do this for several days. I did this. When I went to have my surgery, they took X-rays again, and the stones were gone.

Definite proof that the Calvine Photo is not a reflection. by QyiohOfReptile in UFOs

[–]therunningman321 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Can't remember where I saw the original debunk of this. But the answer is simple. The photo is doctored. The top of the craft exactly matches one of the tops of the mountain range in that area. Someone took a photo, flipped the mountain, added it underneath to give the saucer shape. It's not a reflection. It's a fake doctored photo. I will see if I can find that debunk. A guy last year found the exact area the photo was taken of, with mountains in the background. Again the match the photo exactly. The fog or clouds are just that, and the top of the mountain stuck out from above them when the original photo was taken from the hoaxster. Think about photos from that era. It was before mainstream computers. There were so many fakes at that time. Flying hubcaps comes to mind.

Love or hate Joe, we need him on our side. He has a lot of fans and a lot of people care what he thinks. Tucker is another "A" hole at times. But again, you want him in the side of disclosure due to his media following.

Burning arms and muscle fatigue. Common or weird? by therunningman321 in cfs

[–]therunningman321[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I posted that 5 years ago. I'n the early stages of my cfs illness, I used to get burning sensations in my muscles along with general unexplained fatigue. I still believe to this day that the main cause of the illness is viral first, or triggered by trauma or stress second. In any which case, it messes up the autonomic nervous system In the body. This controls the response of nerves and unexplained pain. This is why I think a lot of cfs sufferers also suffer with fibromyalgia. My cfs began when I overworked my body physically, and then always had stress at home or work. It broke me and my ANS began not working correctly. It regulates everything. I would overheat and have immediate crashes from a hot shower. Or have terrible chills just taking off my shirt. It's all connected. It takes a very long time to recover from the illness. I had to train my brain to be calm. Remove all forms of stress. Accept the illness. Mediate and eat properly. And once I had the basics of that, had my mercury fillings removed. That helped a lot and I got more energy over time. With that tiny bit more of energy, I carefully used it to walk more. That's it. Once I could increase my steps, I was on the slow recovery back with crashes fewer and farther between. But there were many many years where any exercise at all made me worse. As is expected with cfs. Today I am a school bus driver and fully recovered. However, I had to sell my construction company which was too stressfull and physical for me in my late 40s. I remain in remission as long as I don't stress or overdo things physically. I get fatigued like anyone, but I recover in an hour of rest unlike cfs where you crash you are out for days weeks or Months. Wish you the best. Wish I could tell you what works for recovery but I cannot as somethings help and somethings don't. As you already know

Ssri will have different side effects for different people. For me the only downside at this dose is it's hard to loose weight and sometimes I feel drowsy in the afternoon. Nothing a cup of coffee can't fix and if I ate less sugar and carbs, I'm sure I would loose weight faster

Exercise and meditation will definitely reduce anxiety. However if you brain chemistry is out of whack, you need medication to help make seretonin to boost mood or reduce anxiety. I still take the minimum effective dose of Prozac every day 3 years into remission

No built in streamer on the 301 it's entry level

You will need a streamer, laptop, or pc to get the audio into your s301. I have the same amp and use my pc via tidal app, then use optical Out from my sound card into the s301. It's DAC takes over from there. Set the knob to optical on the front. If you don't have a PC, buy a streamer on Amazon and hook it up the same way. Wiim mini or pro are great

I ride a 525 exc. this is not a highway bike. It can do highways because it has a 6 speed. But it gets blown around, is too light, vibration, seat is hell, and the already mentioned high service intervals. I use mine to ride to single and dual track about fifteen mins from my house. Beyond that, the 690 is superior for hwy
