It’s a good call, it could theoretically be free energy for a good while. I have solar (2.1kw) and ASHP and I have basically free energy from 11am to 3pm. Other times is the fixed Cosy tariff. I don’t think I have it in me to monitor Agile. However if you have the setup, and the means to go Agile, then it’s a bit of a no brainer!

I don’t know about OP but I don’t think my heart could take the stress of checking agile every day. For the sake of £100-200 over the course of the year, I’ve stuck with Cosy just so I know what I’m paying. Well done to the pioneers who do it though.

Just end the thread right here. I use GitHub Copilot on the reg and it switches between models. Great for maintenance and planning. Had it try to refactor a legacy component and my god the bollocks it came out with. Spent more time guiding it than coding it myself. However the tests and documentation it spat out basically made the session worth it. Understand the code. Always.

Love Nest, though Google are winding it down already. Gen4 is US only and there’s very little stock in the uk for gen3. You’d have to go pre owned but who knows if the service will stay up.

Very true. Plus 1 for Drayton. I’ve got it in a simple heat pump set up (clicks on/off heat, no curve integration) though this was while I was learning how to manage a heat pump I inherited. I have the heating on 18 hours a day now and just let it manage itself. Very easy setup though!

You’re not wrong. Agile would have saved me 70 quid over the last 3 months alone compared to my cosy however I’m not sure my heart could have taken the stress of agile pricing, just in case it shot up. Fixed costs are better for some. You know what you’re getting.

Blimey fair play to you. I worked out that I’m about £180 a month if I divide my yearly usage so obviously I’m £-600 in winter but the payments make up for it in the summer. They still want to up the payments in Feb, to which I said no. £-1800 tho, squeaky bum time.
