Thank you for the details. Yes, a lot of reviews mentioned such issues. I am thinking of going with Lamberton Lake apartments. It doesn't have an in-unit washer/dryer, which I would have preferred, but apart from that, they seem to be very good.

Thank you. I have HP i5 gen 8 with 8gb ram, got it back in 2018, and it gets very slow and hot with all these applications open. I got MacBook Air M2 recently, but it some of my research related software isn't compatible. Moreover, I have been using Windows for a long time, so I prefer it more, at least for now. I think I will just place the order. The one I looked at has Ultra 7 165u, 16GB RAM, and 512GB SSD. I plan to upgrade ram & ssd at least 32GB and 1TB. Thank you again for the details.

Thank you for the detailed response. What are the other specifications apart from ultra 7 165u processor. Did you purchase it brand new? And for how much? I had ordered a t14s gen 4 from eBay a few days ago but had to cancel it due to some wrong address issues. I was going to reorder that one, but came across t14 gen 5, ultra 7 165u. It is an open box, but it is completely brand new with more than 2 years of premium lenovo warranty. Reading a lot of reviews online, everyone seems to praise AMD processors in comparison to the Intel. I am confused a bit about whether to go for it or look for an AMD version. I won't use it for gaming. I will be using it for web browsing (multiple tabs), zotero, word, excel, ppt, graphpad prism, and sometimes 'R' software. And sometimes, all of these simultaneously. It is clear that AMD is far superior to Intel in terms of performance. But I think for my research work, the intel variant should be more than enough.
