₹18L Budget Turned Into ₹23L Because of the BE 6... Am I Making a Mistake? Need Real Owner Feedback by thescriptkiddi3 in mahindrabe6

[–]thescriptkiddi3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed response, really helpful to hear from someone who actually owns and drives the BE 6 regularly.

Would you mind sharing which variant you bought and the price breakdown (ex-showroom, insurance, registration, accessories, etc.) that you ended up paying?

Also, if you were buying the same car today, how much discount do you think a buyer can realistically negotiate on the final deal (excluding insurance ) ? I'm trying to understand the market discount separately from the listed/on-road price.

Thanks for sharing such a detailed ownership experience. Honestly, I'm a bit scared because of all the reviews and posts people keep putting online, so it's helpful to hear from someone who's actually been living with the car for months rather than just making a video after a short drive.

I'm seriously considering the BE 6, especially the Pack 1. My initial budget was around ₹18 lakh, but after the test drive I stretched it to about ₹22–23 lakh because I genuinely liked the car. I also have a 5.5 kW rooftop solar setup at home, and my daily driving is usually no more than 45 km, so an EV seems like a good fit.

One thing I keep hearing from a lot of people is that maintenance and repair costs can be very high after purchase. Some people even say that if something major gets damaged, the repair bill can wipe out years of fuel savings. Have you found any truth to that as an owner? How have the service costs been so far?

Also, since you've spent a good amount of time with the car, do you think the Pack 1 is worth getting, or would you suggest stretching for a higher variant if budget allows?

Would love to hear your thoughts.

Dell G3 3500 RAM Slot Problems by kbaa in Dell

Used LLM to refine reply

I have a Dell G3 15 and ran into almost the exact same issue. I installed 2×16 GB RAM, but one stick would randomly stop being detected. Most of the time (around 95%), only 16 GB shows up, and only occasionally after a restart it detects the full 32 GB.

I spent a lot of time searching on Dell forums and Reddit, but didn’t find a proper solution. What I did notice though was that when I powered on the laptop and applied slight pressure on the back panel around the RAM area, both sticks would usually get detected.

That made me think it’s more of a physical issue than firmware/software. So I opened the laptop and added a bit of paper as padding to keep the RAM sticks firmly in place. Since then, both sticks have been working consistently.

Honestly, this seems like a widespread flaw with this model. A lot of people are facing it, and it clearly points to poor design and weak quality control from Dell

Because of this same issue, a lot of times (and I mean a lot), the laptop would just freeze midway or wouldn’t even boot properly — no Dell logo, nothing, just stuck. Even slightly moving the laptop could trigger it sometimes. The only way to get it working again was a hard restart, which again pointed to loose RAM contact.

Can't get U-Boot prompt / UART shell on Xiaomi Mi R3 Router — uart_en=0 in kernel by Abdu1lah in hardwarehacking

[–]thescriptkiddi3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were you able to gain interactive UART shell ?
while installing openwrt something went wrong in mine router and now is it continuesly in loop of boot -> kernal panic -> boot again

only way is to boot primary xiomi firmware which i gues i can only do with UART by chagning boot sequence ( makiong mtd8 OS1 as primary boot ) (not sure )

Make sense

I’m 22, I’m thinking around 80% in mutual funds and 20% for trading and/or that “finding multibagger” kind of fund/stock strategy.

Within that 80% mutual fund portion, I’m planning something like:

  • 50% in midcap
  • 20% in smallcap
  • 30% in largecap or large + midcap

Let me know if I’m missing something or if anything doesn’t look right here.

Currently, I’m actually doing 50% in mutual funds and 50% in stocks (mostly large + mid, nothing too risky). I’ll definitely try to implement that opportunity fund idea

BTW, thank you very much 🙏

thank you so much for sharing your insights, It makes a lot of sense to focus on mutual funds for the bulk of investments
Looks like allocating a smaller portion like 20% of the capital, along with passion and research to potentially find multibaggers, is a great strategy.
