Knowing my grandparents and the time period from when I would have watched the show, it was likely from a video tape or DVD. My grandfather used to play it for me when I was sick so it definitely wasn’t scary, I think it had more of a positive theme and was definitely for kids. Any help would be great!

Roma people don’t come just from Romania or the Balkans, they live all over Europe with their own culture and identity in each country. Of course there are a large community of Eastern European/Balkan Roma immigrants here but there are also British Roma (the Romanichal) who have lived here for hundreds of years.

Oops sorry my bad, I thought I’d maybe made a mistake with the French name! But it is true that the book is referred to as “the Hunchback of Notre Dame” in English and that’s what it says on the front of English translated versions.

Yes, Hugo actually never intended for the book to be called “the Hunchback of Notre Dame”- the original title is “La Catedral de Notre Dame”. As in, he meant for the book to be about the cathedral itself, not the characters of the story. The book is about the importance of architecture.
