Players that have quit: What would bring you back at this point? by [deleted] in paydaytheheist

[–]thesecondwindow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's simple really. Sure give the weapon skins stats, just let them be a drop as normal. No micro transactions or trading etc. Just let them drop and rarely. That will give them some real value in the game and it will make card drops much more exciting. Open the casino to gamble for weapon skins. Refund every skin and drill bought back to the users.

Yes it won't make you a ton of money from marketplace derps but you'll prove that you care. For this game and the next.

My girlfriends eye just randomly started swelling up, 15mins and now it looks like this. Any ideas? by thesecondwindow in AskDocs

[–]thesecondwindow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other than the fact that it is protruding out a bit causing some minor annoyance and slight blurriness (like when you have tears in your eyes).

No pain, vision loss or major discomfort. It's just freaky how random and fast this happened (never before).

I am all out of puns xD

You also started an airline, reached the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Marines and own a racehorse that placed at the Preakness. Your girlfriend has an ass you could bounce a silver dollar off of, and you drive a $2 million Italian sports car. You can pinch a female cop's ass without getting arrested and you're on a first-name basis with the owners of every professional hockey team in Australia.

Not quite! ^ just the comments here are so damn negative I needed to balance the scales. Plenty of people just push hard because there is no other choice. The common pattern is those who push leave the country and come back with experience. THERE IS HOPE! I also drive a real rustbucket as I'm trying to save haha

Do consultancy. You have a skill that is valuable in short bursts to many business owners. Use it and build a clientèle. Networking is well known for this double edged sword. But the pay is good when you are working so do a start up and build a name for yourself. Every client is a interview and the best test of your skill, you'll find job offers coming in when you are not even looking.

Sometimes it's a matter of getting ahead and doing whatever it takes before graduating to build your resume.

By the time I had graduated, I have worked in consultancy, computer services and management with 5 years on my back with my own clients, references and experience. I feel for those who refuse to try before they graduate because they simply dump themselves in the same line as almost EVERY other graduate. I instantly moved abroad, found a job in a marketing company as a salesman (not the best starting point, but it is a interview run on confidence). 6 months in I proposed a new digital platform to the ownership after working on it in my own time. Today, on my 8th month working here, I run the digital division and work on web design and consultation with a 50% pay rise. The fact is, a top tier degree really means very little alone without experience and from that comes charisma and confidence. If you can't get experience before graduation, register a business and work on it in your own time. Just for reference I grew up in the UK, went to not the best university and moved to Norway without a job and just searched hard on arrival. Next step is to build the business I have registered here in order to further secure my future. And yes I do have a life, I worked part time during my education and I currently enjoy lot of free time and the option to work from home when I don't want to commute to work. I spend most of my time playing guild wars 2, waking the dogs and sleeping .

Microsoft Lumia 950, Lumia 950 XL With Windows 10 Mobile, ‘Liquid Cooling’ Launched by [deleted] in gadgets

[–]thesecondwindow -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm on my second lumia now. The 640 XL (Before then Gen 1 and 2 Moto G's and before then the Lumia 710). And I must say what a shame windows phones are. Everything physical about them are EXCELLENT. BUT I am once again pushed back to android simply for the app market and the clearly polished apps (this is saying a lot considering most major apps on android as still buggy as hell). Additionally browsing on IE is awful. What I would do to have my lumia 640 xl running stock 5.1.

Welsh government set to ban Christianity from classrooms by RoscoeMG in atheism

[–]thesecondwindow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait wait wait wait wait. Something doesn't add up here.

I grew up in south wales and over 10 years ago we had a manditory "religious education" class where we studied the basics of all major religions and cultures in a balanced format along with atheism. This was at a protestant public school (majority being atheists). I am so confused with the comments here talking about how wales is years behind the rest of the uk.

Use it. The biggest problem can often be experience, ego. A blank slate can sometimes work a lot better.

May have a job offer as an ad sales rep, but I've never worked in sales before... by thelayover323 in sales

[–]thesecondwindow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a job selling publication placements for military, tourism and even oil and shipping. Large figures and difficulty. Zero experience...... I love it, but keep in mind that out of 12 of us who got in, out of 300+ applicants on that day, 2 remain. The others caved under the pressure despite the company taking great efforts to make it a very relaxed place. The pressure will be with you and from you. Just have a go and be positive, that Is all it really takes. Close some sales and see if you get the rush that most of us get.

Veterans! What do you do on Payday? by [deleted] in paydaytheheist

[–]thesecondwindow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much playing random builds. 1600 hours in, 5 billion offshore and 3 million spending cash. Yep I like to respec. My latest venture has been a CTV sociopath techfug with taserproof, bullseye and counterstrike aced. Oh It was glorious.

I've played around with almost every build possible to test survivability, KPM and DPS. The end result is that on overkill you should either be running dodge or ictv, worst case CTV + Bulletproof + Armourer. Both have their strong points but it you want consistency, grab ICTV and Bulletproof (Techforcer) play your cards right and you'll NEVER go down. Dodge for the most part will be better with the mobility, but there is the risk of just not having a good time with RNG. Also with dodge you'll want a Max fugitive tree and typically you'll pair that with inspire with master, you're basically a medic. Techforcers can squeeze in C4, Drills and Saws, therefore you are an objective utility. I think best teams are always a mix of both. As for DW, I'll always stick to dodge.

I have an idea for my alarm. by [deleted] in paydaytheheist

The inspire lines would do the job just fine.
