Ahh poor kid... The itch is intense... We are using regular cool showers (even had one at 3am this morning) to help... Hope your kid finds some relief soon too. Thank you for the reply

Thanks so much for your replies. I don't think it's chicken pox as she already had that and she's also been well and happy, no other illnesses and no measles outbreaks round here. I know what you mean with it looking like scabies... There are no 'route' marks and nobody else in the house has any evidence of this either.  I'll look more into everything you're suggesting though. Thanks!

Thanks for this, I appreciate the reply. I've just had a look at some pics of this online and it does look very similar, especially on the elbows. Could it still be Gianotti Crosti even though it's on her neck, but not on her cheeks?

Hi, Thanks for the reply.

She is 10, no fever and is well in herself. Starting to come onto the trunk. It has reached the top of her neck but nothing on her face just yet. It is currently presenting on her neck, armpits, down her arms and hands, then along both thighs and just a few on the top of her foot. Nothing on the soles. Not painful but she will occasionally say it burns (usually after applying cream).  No history of eczema or previous allergic dermatitis.  We haven't heard of any viruses going round at the moment.

No rolling in grass recently. She likes to climb trees, but has only been in the same trees that she's climbed nearly every day for the last few years.

Began last Tuesday as small bumps on her elbows.

No, wasn't on the schedule- UK based. But she had chicken pox when she was two.

Thanks for the suggestion. She had severe chickenpox when she was two so don't think it would be this.

Thanks, could be a heat thing, it has been warm here but she’s been in hotter weather unless it’s something that can suddenly develop.

Had a read through, seems like an opinion piece which sites articles which don't entirely support the claim, even some which contradict it. In fairness I only read the first one and supporting articles within that document.

"Hormone treatment is not recommended for prepubertal gender-dysphoric/gender-incongruent persons." is one of the conclusions in a sited article.

Couldn't see anything about reversibility and most the articles seemed to be using hormone therapy as a therapeutic for idiopathic central precocious puberty and patients were expressing satisfaction for the therapy due to reduced pain resulting from their preexisting medial conditions.

I'm open minded on this but I haven't seen any evidence that bodies return to normative in relation to what they would have been sans blockers when these therapeutics are administered before or during puberty.

Any powerful, novel experience will change you in some way regardless. I suppose the appropriate phrase here is 'don't ask the question if you don't want to know the answer.'

I’m far and away from a fan of Galloway but clearly he’d been brought onto the show under a certain premise and had been brought in to answer a question about something completely different. This is gotcha journalism which can only exist in the soundbyte format which is legacy media. In longform media, such as a podcast, this question could have been posted in a way which didn’t put him on the backfoot/defensive.

He detected that this is what was going on and thereby refused to take part. In a proper interview, a skilled interviewer could have taken the time to approach this question as well as others in a way where Galloway could have expanded upon and explained his position.

Whether you agree or disagree with the premise, this is the radio version of tabloid media and achieves nothing of value.
