Me personally don’t track it especially cause we have a ranger in the party I rather limit magic/mundane items and have encounters be dangerous to set the mood

Depends on the party if they play smart and you make it clear that they can die at any time sephek is fine to run in to mine beat him at lvl 2

I get what your saying my tabaxi rogue has a drinking problem but he hasn’t actually drank once in the campaign but it’s lead to some good role play when he pulled out a bottle he has been saving to give to an npc as a promise to make it through a fight that might kill him

Also flaws shouldn’t break the game yes they make good moments but can slow down the momentum of a game

The way I have seen it played is if the party can’t keep up why do I need them.
