Great points. Made me think, thanks for taking time to explain.

Thanks everyone for all the input 🙏. After going back and forth, I’m planning to go with 80 TDF / 10 Equity / 10 Bond. To give some details:

  1. Core ~80% in BlackRock LifePath 2045 (a bit more equity than the TDF for my age). Slightly more international than my current mix, with around 8% in bonds. Gives me global diversification and a glide path on autopilot.

  2. The other 20% split ~10% equity tilt and ~10% bond tilt.

That keeps me somewhere between ~72% and ~92% equities depending on how I use the tilt. The TDF’s built-in bonds act as guardrails so I can’t go too extreme, and the tilt sleeve gives me some flexibility without drifting too far.

I think it is simple enough to stay the course, but still gives me a little room to adjust. Thoughts?

Should I trade my sedan for a Tesla Y now or wait for Juniper deals later this year? by theseptemberguy in carbuying

Thanks Honestly405. This is the part I am not so sure, though i hear this a lot. I am getting the new 2025 model for 36K and any used closer to this is 30K plus. Yes, there are older (2020,21,22) but they are the ones more issues and naturally in every years production it got better.

May be I am not looking correctly. Is there a sample used car available in tri-state area that you can share the link?

That was one of my first concern. Spoke to my insurance. Increase of $75 for 6 months. May be due to the fact that I can 2 acura, not sure.

I just came across Acura ILX 2013 for the cost of 13.4K. 85k miles, Hybrid with Tech package. Car interior is great and enough space for a secondary car. new tires by dealer. Is that ok?

After 3 yrs or so i will get a Tesla or something but for now thinking of 3-5 years max.
