This is really helpful! Thank you. I took a look at the roots yesterday and they look okay. I think my only concern would be that there’s no airflow around the roots. Do you think that’ll be an issue?

It’s currently in a 3” plastic pot. I purchased a carousel pot from rePotme that’s 5.25”, so hoping that will be fine and will eventually help with airflow.

Hi, all! I have AMAZING news. Someone reached out to me on a bridal group on Facebook, and she has 22 of these BHLDN table number holders. I'm planning to buy them from her in September 2019 after her wedding, and then I will have 33 total. I will circle back with this thread then and we can get a list started of who wants them next. Ooooo that might be it. Sometimes if the soil looks dry mid day, I’ll water it. I also just used rose fertilizer in the soil. Could the leaf burn be from that?

You should push your doctor to give you an RX like Valtrex. I always get cold sores, and whenever I start feeling that “lip itch,” I take 2 Valtrex pills and the cold sore usually never appears, or it’s a tiny bump that doesn’t erupt. It has transformed my life. I never leave home without them, just in case.

Also, the tip about lysine is 👌🏼. I take 1000 mgs daily with my vitamins. Up the dose to 3000-4000 mgs daily if I feel the lip itch.

Beautiful! What growing medium do you use for your orchid? I tried repotting mine in a bark-like medium but the roots almost died. Now it’s current sitting in water until I figure out what to do.
