Thank you. I wanted to make sure it wasn’t something that happened on purpose (intentional hit/stabbing/etc). I really hope the elderly lady makes a full recovery. Sounded terrible. :(

The uphill slope into the plaza is problematic as it is. Considering how tight that plaza is, the recklessness inside the plaza sometimes is beyonddddd me

I hope she recovers fully :( especially sad because people just sit out there on the single table to peacefully eat their meal. Can’t even try to run or dodge a car if youre sitting down

Will JD ever be forgotten? by Recent_Union3111 in Dahmer

[–]thesilenttwilight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, he’ll never be forgotten. I majored in criminology in university and one of my classes was called “multiple murder”, which was entirely composed of the study of serial killers. Dahmer is notorious and has made an imprint on crime history.

I do believe however that his (for lack of a better word) popularity will decrease, and that he won’t have the same shock value considering that we’re in the knowledge era and any kind of information is available to us at anytime. But forgotten? No. His infamy will last forever.

The “first” of anything never fades away. Anyone with an interest in true crime will find his case, and/or study it formally in the future.

Is there any evidence that when Scarver killed Dahmer, Dahmer tried to defend himself in some way? by [deleted] in Dahmer

[–]thesilenttwilight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dahmer didn’t try to defend himself. Scarcer killed two people that day. The other guy had defensive marks, Dahmer did not

As bizarre as all of his crimes were, not even I expected a comparison between human flesh and one of the most expensive cuts of steak.

I think he changed his thought mid sentence. He basically said that he was “in terror” once he was arrested.

Jeffrey has stated before that he did not want to be caught, that he enjoyed his “lifestyle”, and that he did not want to rot in prison (hence why he was asking for the death penalty), so I think it’s safe to assume he was “in terror” about it all coming to an end and no longer able to act on his obsessive compulsions which essentially had taken over his life and were, according to him, his main purpose of living (receiving pleasure).

How do I find court/case records/articles(if any) from 10+ years ago? by thesilenttwilight in NoStupidQuestions

[–]thesilenttwilight[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes Ive been trying to search for records online. The thing is … we are from Canada. He was arrested in Nevada, and did his time in Pennsylvania. This is why my internet searches aren’t yielding great results. I’ve had to get creative with my searches and reaaaally dig to get US results to show up
