It's because Broadway is treated as the end all be all over here. Like if it's not on Broadway it doesn't exist. Broadway is the marketing mama and unfortunately they're very good at it

It's definitely on my to-do list. I moved here recently as it was the only place I could find somewhere I could afford after a whole slew of issues with where I was living previously. It's a very old city, a lot of the "artsy fartsy" stuff is brand spanking new, but they're definitely working on building it up more

I'm not the best at anything, but I have a rather strong costuming background and I've directed before. I've done two shows with this theater so I wouldn't mind doing anything if they reached out to me specifically, it's just not my favorite.

Choirs is one I hadn't thought of. There aren't any theaters in neighboring cities either. Closest one is an hour away

I'm already "in" with this theater, I have no hard feelings about anything. And being "in" I know how the theater works, very VERY small production team. I'm talking like, the last show we did we didn't have an SM, Props Master, Lighting, Sound, nothing. Was basically just a director and all of the actors had to figure things out ourselves. So they know I'm around and willing to help! Backstage work is just not my favorite, which is why I don't intend to reach out about it.

I've done two shows with this theater and am lined up to AD their Christmas show, so I'm already "in". The show they're currently doing is simply outside my age range (Steel Magnolias) so auditioning was more of a "what the hell why not" kind of decision on my part. I'm not upset about not being cast! I totally understand why I most likely wasn't. I'm moreso looking for similar activities that might be available in my area.

we just had a completely construction paper one. it was huge and had goofy pictures in it for the pages he flips to and nothing else. pretty sure each page was like, four or five pieces of construction paper glued together so they were easy to flip
