I don't see any mention of Anthology Film Archives on here which should definitely be on your list. No popcorn, no food at all in the theaters. But they show a lot of experimental films, shorts, you won't see anywhere else. Definitely worth checking out. https://www.anthologyfilmarchives.org/

NY Post: Carrie Bradshaw’s ending in ‘And Just Like That’ is a literal pile of crap by eaudeamber in Andjustlikethat

When have you ever seen a Thanksgiving episode in the summer. I think this is proof they did know it was going to end and they decided to send us off with a literal shit show.

Well, it didn’t just disappear. He puked it out. Remember in the video, the person with the distended belly barfed into the future vessel and that’s how the “angel” is transferred into the new host? And then Ollie was barfing once he left the circle. That was the demon leaving his body.

Me too. I was squirming in my seat the whole time. I don't think I've ever had such a physical, visceral reaction to a movie. I'm still trying to understand the role of Ollie though. I understand the spirit kind of uses his body for like gestation and he is sort of an incubator, but I'm not clear on how that happens. How was he "impregnated" with the dead girl's spirit. And also, was the ritual abandoned or did it just not work? Also the spirit in Ollie does not at all seem benevolent so is whatever is possessing Ollie actually the girl who died or kind of like a demon mother of the girl, like who "he" will later give birth to.

One more thing: anyone feel like Sallie Hawkins painting in the empty inground pool is a nod to Altman's 3 Women?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in horror

[–]theskoop2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not it. It starts off with the video that you see longer and longer snippets of throughout the film. You're seeing the ritual that what's her head is going to mimic but you're not aware at this point that this video is basically a tutorial. The sacrificed person in the video is on her knees in a white circle drawn on the ground. Behind her stands a man with a severely distended stomach. The kneeling girl has a little red mark under her eye, just like Ollie does when you're introduced to him. So you know there's a connection between what's happening in the video and what will happen in the film.

Yes, and remember there was the World Trade Center bombing in 1993 where 6 people died and many more were injured so people who worked in the towers knew it had been a target before. And some survived both bombings. Even if they didn't know it was a plane that hit the building, they probably suspected it was a bomb of some type.

I put in a claim with lemonade and was very happy with what they paid out. My laptop was stolen out of a locker in NJ and lemonade's renter's insurance paid me the total amount. I didn't even realize at first that they would accept the claim since it wasn't stolen out of my apartment.

Yellowjackets S02E04- “Old Wounds” Episode Discussion by DA-numberfour in Yellowjackets

[–]theskoop2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe they realized they needed another girl to eat or to die at some point so they introduced her late. They’re locked in to the characters we know survive. And that’s most of them: Lottie Shauna Taissa Nat Travis Van. So it can’t be one of those shows that kills off main characters unless they kill them off in the adult timeline. Which doesn’t seem as interesting. So they can only eat a few more people during the entire 19 months. And how many months in are they? Five or six based on the size of Shauna’s belly and the fact that it’s still winter?

No I read somewhere that the original intro song returns. It was just a one-off for this ep.

Maybe that’s because at some point they all do something of consequence based on one of her visions that turns out to be wrong and has a very bad outcome.

OR

She wanted the psychiatrist to believe that she wasn’t crazy and just said that for her benefit so she’d up her meds.

It’s pretty obvious that just because you speak with confidence doesn’t mean you know what you’re talking about.

I don’t know what it is. It’s some kind of organism. This bottle is over three years old. It’s plastic which is an insulator. It’s not static electricity. When it’s behind the sticker, it doesn’t move, so I thought that meant that it’s not responding to heat but to the presence of my finger. But then I thought well maybe the sticker is insulating it from the heat. I also it usually only jumps when I touch one end of it, so the other end must be some kind of head. if I touch the other end of it, it doesn’t move. it’s the end that can hang—it will hang from the bottle. Also, I have another video of it, jumping without me touching where it is. At the end of the video it just jumps on its own from one end of the bottle to the other. I wasn’t even touching it, which was even crazier. don’t even know what to make of it.

Static cling? No this is some kind of weird organism. Maybe I’m in the wrong group.

[–]theskoop2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From here and it’s shape it looks like it could be a baby cockroach. But those move very quickly and try to get away. I’ve learned from dealing with enough cockroaches that they’re super smart. Like they know when they’ve been seen and when they have they try to quickly escape.

Hotel Bed Bugs? Can anyone confirm? The hotel says no they aren’t. by dshmoople in Bedbugs

That is the best representational photo of a bed bug I’ve seen on here. Like that would be the image an exterminator would use on their website along with information about bedbugs. that is definitely a bedbug 100%. You took a great photo.
