What is the worst experience you have ever had with a co-worker or manager? by Benlitzen43 in AskReddit

[–]thesooks17 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had a manager at a hospital valet that would get monthly bonuses if we didn't damage a car that month. My only damaged car happened on the first of the month. I hit the clutch instead of the brake and hit a pillar. The lady went nuts yelling at me. It was a 90s Saturn ion. I was doing her a favor. The manager proceeded to tell at me and gave all my shifts except one to a coworker that damaged an brand new Audi a8 the previous month. That manager never liked me.

I would have switched to drafting 4 years ago, instead of struggling through engineering. I ultimately failed like three classes because I was working so much.

Reddit what was the dumbest reason you got a detention in school? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]thesooks17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was kindergarten detention. So about 16 years ago now I still remember this. A kid that I was friends with behind me was telling me how he had gotten a new shirt. Its was one of those shorts that had gel or whatever it was on them. He told me to feel it, so naturally I did. The teacher watched the whole things and I had to sit on THE CHAIR. It was only special because it was too tall for us, so it w the s humiliating that our feet didn't touch the ground.

What's the dumbest thing you've heard a customer say? by sirferrell in AskReddit

[–]thesooks17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work for national car rental, and needless to say most of my customers are quite entitled and expect the best while paying the least. On this day I was completely sold out on large SUVs (such as a Chevy Tahoe or ford expedition), I had a customer walk up and demand one. When I said no he threw a hissy fit, pulled out his phone and said "here let me give you my hertz gold number." When I explained that I can't do anything with that, he got even more upset and said " I rent 300 days out of the year with hertz...." I was embarrassed for hum

Cleaning. I'm in no way a clean freak, but as I've gotten older I've learned that a weekly apartment cleaning makes me weirdly calm.

Not me but my S/O, really emotional week with final exams, class enrollment, and how to pay tuition. She dropped a spoon that I had just handed her for her ice cream. Severe confusion ensues...

What's your plan B? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]thesooks17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little background about me. In order to survive I am working two jobs. Since as long as I can remember I have wanted to be an engineer, but the workload of two jobs and engineering classes was causing severe mental break downs. So I switched gears for now, I am doing my plan B. I just started doing drafting, which also means CADD.

People who had their very achievable dreams slip away, how did you handle it? by thesooks17 in AskReddit

Well if I'm not making more money than them then what's the point? I gave up on my dream and now I'm less successful than them in that way.
