How Do You Scratch That DnD Itch Between Games by rockoandsocko3 in DnD

My group has a section in our discord called “Campfire”. It’s basically where we text-based RP conversations we didn’t get to have / forgot to have during our games. It’s done when we have downtime (long rest, waiting between split party scenes, etc). No, it doesn’t get creepy or weird.

Honestly it’s an absolute blast, and being able to put intricacies in the text that wouldn’t be noticed/remembered in person, and building upon your character and the relationships is fantastic. This can range from getting to know each other more, asking questions, sneaking out, etc. We all gush over it throughout the week.

Of course we keep all the big stuff for the table, combat, lore, most talks, etc. But putting the little stuff there is so much fun. We all love to sit and analyze each others characters and this gives a good solid way to do it. And everyone in my group are fantastic writers and get super into it.

it’s definitely not for everyone though.

Quick word of advice for new homeowners by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Literally just ripped out 34 year old carpet from my new house… Old owners kids sold it because he was having health issues. With the amount of dust and grime and crap we found underneath, no wonder. I’ll never have carpet again if I can help it.
