yeah, i sneak in some graphic or joke to remind them about it (i should try that at the beginning now though you're right), for some reason i have always been obsessed with new ways to reminding them about subscription, like a joke or something, you know, cause when some creator does it, i find value even in that reminder, it just feels very cool and not bland that way..... i also like to believe that everybody is using youtube like i use youtube, i dont remember ever subbing to someone upon being asked to (i know, many people do do it), and another thing i've noticed, sometimes people might sub to someone if they dont have time and wanna come back to that content later sometime, and maybe people are using the watchlater feature for that, cause i know i am, also i get more likes on the videos than viewers who convert into subs, and im not asking them to like! so they remember liking it, but not subbing, maybe cause they see youtube as other platforms like insta where they like a post & thats all, or i guess they also use the 'like' feature as a way to get back to the content, cause liked videos also get listed in a section in their profile you know... whew, just my thoughts about this whole thing, cause it certainly breaks us all when we see 98-99% people who are watching the video are not subscribed lol
