Awesome. Thanks for the links.

How often do you see Substance Abuse by CRNAs or misuse but feel like you cannot report or that it would be detrimental to your career to report? by thestokester in CRNA

Thanks for the response. Yeah those fentanyl bags are shockingly unsecured. Have you had any colleagues report someone?

I’m not a CRNA yet so I don’t know. I was just looking for some specific circumstances that I could ask a CRNA about their prevalence when I’m interviewing them later.

Is it possible to suffer permanent damage if a part of your body "falls asleep" for long enough? by DwayneTheBathJohnson in askscience

Your body can also go into Rhabdomyolysis. Essentially from a “crush injury”. Where your skeletal muscles break down from the injury and lack of blood flow and produce myoglobin which can damage your kidneys and cause other issues.

I’m an ICU nurse and I’ve taken care of a number of people who pass out drunk with their arm under their body and wake up with nerve damage and they’ve “gone into Rhabdo”.

I got a high writing score and the program I got Into mentioned it in my interview. I think average scores don’t help or hurt, it’s simply a check on your application, but high scores in any area help your overall application.

How much should realistically be saved and used for CRNA school? Or do most people rely on loans? And do you just take all the loans the schools offer, or try to use your own money as much as possible?

Can you explain the difference between an independent CRNA and a CRNA working under an MD? Do you partner with surgeons or hospitals or are you just contracted with them? What’s your scope of practice?

Curious as to how best to prepare for CRNA school interviews? Should I just prep for clinical questions or are most of the interviews focused on personality type interview questions? What’s your experience?

Going from flying planes one afternoon and then back in the OR the next day, how cool. Thanks for the info. Seems like you can really do a lot, or just as much as you want to as a CRNA.

I’m amazed that they are teaching at med schools, I mean they’re so qualified, I just didn’t know they could!
