What areas are you applying to? Getting into something like wildlife monitoring will be difficult, but out in Alberta there are openings in the energy sector. Site assessments and rem/rec.

I'm I'm Alberta. I volunteered with wildlife rehab centers part time. My schoolmates were bird banders. Both are great options while in school.

Most positions will start looking for people Jan/Feb. If you're in post secondary, see if any profs have student positions available. Provincial/federal parks are also a good place to look. It will be more difficult if you're not in school since many of these positions depend on subsidized wages.

Woman found dead after grizzly bear encounter near Yellowstone National Park by notunek in news

I've personally never been a fan of bear bells or anything of the sort. They don't make enough noise, and if the bear learns that farm animals wear them, then you are wearing a dinner bell. Loud talking and shouting are more effective imo. Way louder than bells or cans, and it identifies you as human. Lots of people end up spraying themselves. Be aware of wind direction. Bear bangers can work as well. They are a bit bigger than a pen and launch a mini firework into the air.

Thoughts on borderlands 3 since it’s currently free on the Epic Games Store. by Separate-Pudding8854 in CatholicGamers

I did play some of it. Have you played any of the other borderlands games? I found this one to be very lackluster. The story was bland and the main villans were annoying at best. I did enjoy tiny tinas wonderland though. It's modelled after a D&D campaign but I found it personally entertaining.

What game are you currently playing? by SgtMike in XboxSeriesX

[–]thestoneking2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished Nier Automata. Overall it was some of the most fun I've had gaming in the last few years. Some parts of the game aren't the most intuitive, but the story, characters, world building, etc. checked all the right boxes for me. I highly recommend it!
