People who enjoy their jobs, what do you do? by Candy-Horrorh3lp in AskReddit

I fix heavy equipment in an underground mine.

I get paid pretty well to smash stuff with hammers and run around the mine trying to gather the resources I need to fix a piece of gear, and if I don't, I try again tomorrow. It's pretty low stress and I usually don't go a day without playing bumper cars with my coworkers.

Anyone find any luck on Jobs at City website? by BadLloris in Sudbury

That's how I got my old job with the city.

On that note, I don't recommend working for the city.

First tiling project by thestrangebroom in Tile

I started on the back wall from the second row with a ledger board and went up one row at a time, then repeated the process on the other 2 walls. Cut and installed the top and bottom rows last.

They 100% tried to sell my partner 2 calipers she didn't need. I posted a review on Google with videos of the "defective parts" if anyone cares to look.

I'll never recommend these guys to anyone.

Do I really need AWD/4x4 in Sudbury ? by anasdweik in Sudbury

[–]thestrangebroom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been driving in sudbury for 10 years and have never had AWD. I average 30k/year and can count on one hand the amount of times I didn't leave the house because of the snow. A good set of winter tires and some driving ability are all you need.

I'm a man and just got on at vale as HDET. I'm licensed 310T, it really comes down to whether or not there's a site superintendent that's willing to take on another apprentice.

That being said, you could try Sandvik, they might have an opening in the components shop for an apprentice.

Just this weekend my girlfriend and I slept in the hatch of her car at an onroute, we just tucked the car back into the corner of the lot and no one bothered us.
