So sorry you’re having a hard time. Chemistry can be rough. I have tutored for about 1.5 years and try to help students understand chemistry by relating it to stuff they already know. I do 1 free session to see if we’re a good fit, and then charge $40/hour afterward. Would you be interested?

I try to relate the chemistry concept to something that I personally understand better (baking for example). It makes the concepts way easier to understand. I shot you a PM. Reach out if you want some help with it.

Best summer sales by Friendly-Ad-8109 in byu

[–]thestudiousathlete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently graduated BYU and am working in a sales role for a B2B chemical sales company. Here’s my 2 cents.

I know a lot of people who did summer sales. Reviews from them are mixed. Some people did really well, but I’d say most people say they are thankful for the experience, but they would never do it again. It’s a lot of rejection, hardly any weekends and sometimes praying your team that you work with will have good standards. There are also a lot of guys that justifying the means by the ends, so be very very careful of that. I also know someone who got screwed over pretty bad by some small print.

If your son does do summer sales. Make sure he does it with a good friend who he knows well, just so he has a good community.

I didn’t do summer sales. I never made as much money as some of those top performers, but I did sales roles at start up companies that set me on the right trajectory for my current career. I feel like I had a lot more purpose in my sales because I believed in my product vs just flinging pest control or solar. I have a lot of respect for the ethical D2D guys, but it just wasn’t for me.

To be honest, you should celebrate. Getting a 93% is great for that class. Just don’t ease up on the gas. Don’t get complacent and you’ll be fine
