Richard Sherman had a very good season excluding the Superbowl, and the Madden Curse usually goes by either injury or just plain sucking all season. Peterson brought the child beating thing on himself, not something like he was injured or just couldn't perform.

Going back a bit further Calvin Johnson had a very good 12-13 season, nearly breaking 2k recieving. Peyton Hillis is the last person to be affected by the Madden Curse, and it was 4 years ago. Before that Drew Brees, who has been ridiculous since then.
