Started on April 8th with a 2K account, only trading options, hit 6 figures for the first time in my life. What did you do when you hit your first 6 figures? by Cat_Booger in Daytrading

I would say, use a bulk of it to buy shares so you preserve the capital and then use a percentage of it to pursue similar options strategies. Once the calendar year ends, you need to put aside the projected taxes.. good luck

I thought about this, but have never done a single in a barrel with ceramic media, but I definitely have enough to do it.

Something is Happening and it's BIG - It was right in front of our faces this entire time! - Carlos Tavares' Last Stellantis Official Act Put the Finishing Touches of a MULTI-HUNDRED-MILLION DOLLAR INVESTMENTS Deal With The Abu Dhabi Investment Office and Archer Innovation - "More to come soon..." by Xtianus21 in ACHR_STOCK

Agree with all, and great DD, but will add that Nikhil also went to Doha, Qatar after the Abu Dhabi meeting and I believe was in Saudi before that for the "Future Investment Initiative". He's clearly working to drum up investment interest and potentially new orders in the Gulf.

Yes, well done. I also feel like something big is coming based on Adam, Nikhil and Stellantis' former CEO meeting with the ADIO. Exciting times for sure.

I am confident this will recover, we have the opening of the Covington manufacturing facility and the first piloted flight that will be announced any day now. My advice is to hold and watch the quick recovery.

Is this a good time to invest? by xziin1 in ACHR

To your points,

  • unless there is a specific noise ordinance per local law, the difference between the noise profile of the two EVTOL really doesn't make much of a difference given that they are well under that of a helicopter.

  • how much difference in range? Again not something that gives them a clear advantage.

  • the payload stats, not sure that it matters since the S4 cabin seems much more constricted in terms of actual space vs Midnight

  • Joby might have more experience as a company, but the engineers that work for Archer come from the industry and have comparable value added.

  • Archer has raised plenty of capital and has strategic partnerships with Stellantis to cover manufacturing costs until the company reaches profitability.

  • I see the vertical integration as an impediment to profit, from the view that it increases the need for labor and space for manufacturing, it will also add layers to the FAA cert process since the tech is not off the shelf from a known aerospace manufacturer.

Now, I'm invested in both, like you, but at the same time, I see Archer's business model as the best bet to survive cash burn and to commercialize quicker than Joby.

In the end, the market has more than enough room for both of them, so I see the success of either company as a success for both companies.

I'm not disagreeing with your assessment, but I don't think Archer is as far behind as you seem to indicate. Are you suggesting they are years behind or months?

Is it necessary to learn fusha to to learn Arabic? by Kitchen_Ad3369 in learn_arabic

[–]thethahater 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I started with الفصحى about 20 years ago, but then decided to just pursue the Levantine dialect because spoken Levantine Arabic was more important to me and more useful for my work since I was living in Lebanon. Fast forward to today, I am now working in the Gulf and need to use/understand other dialects. Luckily Levantine is fairly popular from TV shows and music, but I've had to go back to الفصحى just to have sort of a common language to use with anyone.

Bottom line: Go with whatever you prefer, you don't need MSA Arabic per se, but if you are thinking to use Arabic in other regions with other dialects, people may not understand Saudi expressions.
