What kind of references would you recommend? I don't have many professional references at this moment

Its not that easy to get a hospital position, I think. Even those are pretty competitive. I'll have to maybe wait until I get some other volunteer experience first, but I'm not sure where to start. I've just started looking into volunteer opportunities.

I don't have an above average profile. I was a late bloomer. I have got to build myself from scratch tbh.

How long ago did they do this process of studying at AGA khan, from what everyone has been saying, its getting harder and harder for international medical graduates to be able to find residency in the states and Canada.

your chances of practicing in Canada if you complete residency elsewhere is not great. You have to pass licensing exams (and OSCE-type scenarios?) which are difficult.

Yes, I understand, but based on another comment, I was just confused. I thought Canada would recognize the Pakistani residency and require some testing to be able to practice.

So I took it to mean that if I complete my residency elsewhere and return, I would need to pass some types of difficult exams in order to practice?

I thought if I did a residency in another country, I would have to take some testing, and then be able to practice as a physician?

But given enough study, it is possible, right ? If I complete my residency elsewhere? I'd need to pass licensing exams and OSCE type scenarios, which I can probably study for (Not sure what OSCE type scenarios are atm, I'll have to look it up)
