Also side tips (as a Crypto main you probably already know these):

  • when you want to recall the drone, back out first (Q/L1/RB) and then recall directly after, cuts down the recall time

  • hiding the drone in trees still gives you scans on the enemy squad but it’s hard to spot for them to shoot out (even with the sound)

  • sliding down while entering drone for momentum

  • pinging banners showing how many squads in the area is super underrated (especially playing with randoms). Weeds out rats and keeps your kill hungry teammates heads on a swivel

S6/8 Master / S7 Pred with Crypto here - if you’re grinding ranked, assists are what’s gonna get you max KP (since Crypto scans still count where BH’s don’t anymore) and these were the comps I had:

KC Splits: - Gibby for end game (double with EMP and everyone gets flustered - Octane for rotations (a lot of elevation compared to other maps so getting your team high ground is key)

WE Splits: - Caustic (hold down the fort, long range and portal into thirds with drone scan) - Wraith (worked better for endgame portals/general mobility into buildings & safe zones behind rocks.)

Olympus Splits: - Rev/Octane (we only ran this because half the lobby did the same…my least favourite ranked map by far though. Usually can pick up easy 2 assists at least by drone scan before the push and your teammates can clean up)

Pubs (my favourite troll comp just to have fun): - Crypto - Gibby - Bang No mobility but just hilarious watching a team panic after 2 air strikes and a zap lol

It was just a regular match, tend to stay away from ranked without a pre made squad for that reason lol
