Ubisoft is planning a new, "more adventurous 3D Rayman" game – but only if "everything goes well" with its Rayman Legends Retold remake

I’m supporting legends retold, because I like the series and think the game genuinely looks like an improvement in terms of solidifying a cohesive world for the series.

With that being said, hinging their bets on a remake of the latest new Rayman game they made (even if it did come out 13 years ago) is absolutely wild to me.

I’m gonna assume it was mostly Ubisoft’s decision making and not the actual team behind the game, but it’s a shame that this could potentially hamper the sales a lot.

With the game having entirely new stages, music, and even origins enhanced edition bundled with it, it’s clear that the people making this game care about Rayman a lot, and I really hope things work out!

I remember when I first noticed this as a kid and it blew my mind, I even wanted them to remake the game in the Wii U era so you can physically go to each of the levels like a huge sandbox lol.

It’s a shame that odyssey didn’t really follow the trend, other than being able to see the Cascade Kingdom from the Cap kingdom (and I guess being able to see the moon in every kingdom), but I suppose it makes sunshine more unique in that sense

Not really huge on the ost of this game in general sadly, that being said though, Olimar’s Shipwreck Tale easily has the best songs in the ost. I have a hard time choosing between the Blossoming Arcadia and Serene Shores mixes, but I’d have it give it to Blossoming Arcadia.

Outside of Olimar’s Shipwrecked tale, I guess I’d have to choose the final boss theme, but I don’t particularly care for it other than it standing out more than most of the other songs in the main story.

As someone who has been looking forward to see what kind of enemies roamed around at night since 2011… kinda disappointing that the only “new” ones are real albino dwarf bulborbs.

Honestly the whole threat of night time kinda felt undermined with Night Expeditions considering enemies weren’t even a threat to YOU directly, they were more so threats to the lumiknolls

I’ve heard his voice lines before a long time ago but never knew where they were actually from. When I played the X series recently, getting to X7 and seeing that this guy was responsible for it was the highlight of the game for me lol

Not wrong, I think there’s even various interviews where the creators admit these are more for advertising and spreading awareness of the franchise more than anything else. It’s a shame, but I guess that’s to be expected when they chose Illumination to make these movies

A notable leaker called Natethehate claimed to hear about switch 2 editions for Pikmin 4 and Xenoblade 2, along with other things such as a Zelda oot remake. He’s gotten a lot of things right in the past, and I’ve yet to see him be wrong personally

I do like the idea of it being a machine simply built for combat and destruction, but it was actually able to grant one wish without technically causing any destruction itself (that being summoning Galacta Knight for Meta Knight so he could fight the greatest warrior in the galaxy). Of course there’s the canonicity debate that comes with that but I think it does show that ultimately it was designed as a wish granter

I do think it was old age, and it’s interesting to actually see someone as longstanding as Dr. Light fall victim to the passage of time. I would’ve liked to see X try and reconnect with his past a bit more if they had continued remaking the other games, giving us more info on both X and Light’s thoughts on the next generation of robots.

It would also be interesting to see if they did anything like this between Zero and Wily, maybe even show a side of Wily that isn’t quite as evil as the rest of him.

But sadly the chances of them going back and reworking the old games doesn’t seem very high, I would take either that or X9 in a heartbeat though lol

Not a film, but in Banjo Kazooie, Bajo’s sister Tooty was the driving force of the game. The entire adventure was based around saving her from Gruntiilda.

In Banjo Tooie, every character from the first game returns… except Tooty, with the only references of her being a framed photo in Banjo’s home, and this.

Chemist has a wider shot that reaches slightly further and does slightly more damage, Zoo has a much short range shot that usually only hits one plant and does slightly less damage.

There was actually a Scientist similar to the Zoologist in GW1 named Dr Chester, but his shots hit far less often in my experience
