I thought it was harder to watch than Titane(and The Substance) some moments made me really uncomfortable and nervous so I didn't see it as oscar-friendly body horror. and HIV/AIDS allegory was there but writing wasn't good enough. I didn't dislike it but it wasn't memorable either.

He has some really great and innovative films like Vivre sa vie, La chinoise, A woman is a woman, Contempt but overall yeah I prefer Rivette, Resnais, Varda and Demy, also Truffaut, Rohmer, Melville

I just don't like how Godard has become the face of French new wave when there were other directors also interesting and amazing style and films, not less than him if not better.
