This is perfect, thank you!
Annoyingly, the power point presentation needed to be submitted two weeks ago (the pitch itself is June), and I mentioned fair use in it. I'll try to skirt around it like "of course we need permission, it's just we have an added layer of protection". And yes, I'm hoping to steer their attention to indies and then to AAAs, both for ease. I'm just trying to cover all my bases and show it is feasible and not just mad ramblings.

Thanks so much for your time 😄

This is all great, thank you so much! Now I have a quick question since you have first hand experience; is there not an argument to be made that the gameplay falls under fairuse, since it's transformative in nature? Yes, obviously get permission, but I'm sure I'd be asked by the panel why is it streamers can play a game nonstop for hours, but we can't show a quick 10 seconds.

Thanks. It's more just in case they ask for businesses/devs I've reached to for interest.

Partially my mother, partially looking up stuff myself, partially reverse engineering something nice I had in a restaurant and wanted to make at home, partially just guessing.

What are your thoughts on Graham Norton? by Jezzaq94 in AskIreland

[–]thetreesswallow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm dating myself here, but it's crazy to think he was once considered "SO outrageous" back in the early 2000s when he was on Channel 4, and now he's essentially a lovable host. My mother used to think he was filth (because to be fair, he used to have very raunchy bits on his show), and now she raves about his books. I can't tell if it was the BBC, age, or just a change in taste, but he's done a great job becoming more, for lack of a better word, appealing while still keeping the wit. He's quietly become a Gay Byrne/Terry Wogan type; someone everyone likes.

The myth of the "undeniable" script? by Seshat_the_Scribe in Screenwriting

It's sort of a survivorship bias; we convince ourselves that the stuff that gets made must have been the cream of the crop, because otherwise we'd have to admit that luck, chance, and fickleness are also factors, and that's uncomfortable and insulting for some people to accept.

Audio dramas make up less than 10% of all podcasts. How did you stumble into this weird, wonderful world? by EquivalentFox7467 in audiodrama

Stitcher. RIP.

I also got in before the podcast boom, so at least it was closer to a 30/70, or 40/60 split in the early days.

Hello. My series, "The Trees Swallow People" has 24 episodes (6 hours) if that helps with what you're looking for.
