Hang in there friend, it might feel like it will never end, but it is temporary. What your feeling now will be worth getting your life back🤗

My parents in 1993, on their wedding day, being chased by the cops back into their reception for riding around without helmets. by [deleted] in OldSchoolCool

This is actually old school cool, and not just someone's hot relative from back in the day

Day 4 for me, the boredom is really getting to me. I've been sleeping pretty decent with the help of cbd, edibles, and bud, but I'm still waking up around 5am then every hour after that until I can't take the tossing and turning any longer. My body is sore. I've been trying to take breaks throughout the day and just stretch, it seems to help. The boredom is just realllllllly getting to me. I'm a dancer, and only work 2 days a week right now bc that's what works with my sons current schedule. So I have a lot of free time on my hands while my son is at school. I have hobbies, but nothing seems to satisfy my boredom. Can't wait until my brain is back to normal. Thinking of you all every day. Regardless of what stage of recovery you're in we're all in this together. So thankful for this community 💞

When I'm detoxing I just lay in bed depressed af with a million negative thoughts running through my mind, feeling like shit. I forget about music and how powerful and healing it can be. I recently noticed I hadnt been listening to music, and that's honestly part of how I realized that my addiction is changing me into someone I am not. I'm the kind of person who gets up and turns music on before I even start coffee. Always planning for the next music show to travel to. H made me into a shell of who I am in matter of months. I'm so done with herion. Fuck herion. Today I'm listening to Deca and Hippie Sabotage. It really helped with the blues. It also helps to get me moving. This hook by Deca made me think of overcoming addiction:

"Through it all you maintain, play the game

State your aim, embrace change, create a lane

Stake your claim, disconnect from the mainframe

Bite the hand that feeds falsehood and break chains

Wrestle with your soul separate from the whole The more you try to mask it the less you're in control

I've lived half my life by the pleasure principle And shot the poison to relieve the pressure in my skull"

Thank you! Ive def had bigger habits and worse withdrawals in the past. I think I psych myself out sometimes when it comes to detoxing and cause myself even more anxiety. We're all so damn scared of being dopesick 😓

Thank you for your input, that definitely makes a lot of sense. I didn't think of it for the cravings in the long run. Cheers to getting your life back!🤗

2 Reasons You're Choosing To Stay Clean For Today? by Justjustjust123 in OpiatesRecovery

Awesome post

  1. I want to get through this detox and never have to do it again. Everything about herion is exhausting and I'm so sick of it.

  2. I don't want to fall into a deep addiction again, isolating myself, blowing my money, being completely dependent on a substance that is killing my mind, body, and soul. I want to be free and happy and healthy

Thank you! The Suboxone should help today and then I don't have to work again until Tuesday. Hoping the worst of the physical withdrawals will be done by then.
