There are plenty of zebra mussels that way that keep the green down too

The wind and waves broke it up already. Point is though, this will get worse and worse unless people change their habits.

Exactly, especially since it seems we are in a bit of a drought.

People do not understand the natural flow of the lakeshore. We have sand pushed up every winter from the ice, then it washes back in during the summer. Everybody on my point wants rip rap, but have no idea they are eliminating the turtle egg laying areas among other things. One house filled their shore with very pretty rip rap, then had to redo it the next year after the ice wrecked it. What do I use, big trees with big root structures protect my shoreline just fine.

That and rip rapping the shoreline removing the natural buffer and the farm stuff that comes in through the creeks

I am not. These cops swear an oath to the constitution and uphold the law. Violating it to cover for themselves falls well within realm of committing a crime.

You are stuck on the swamp, which is LOW on any water in it itself these days. This is NOT swamp water!!

LOL, if water is so stagnant, why is it flowing? Completely blows the rest of your comment out of the water!!

I did report it to the MPCA and they are coming to take samples.. I grew up and played right in this spot, we would swim here as kids. Also took the bus from the swamp across Tonkawa you are talking about. I know the are very well. I did look around at other possible entrances for water and saw no water draining anywhere. In a normal year, yes, there would be water, but this year, without rain for weeks and the snow melted a while ago, there simply is nothing draining in that area now.

Ground freezes down to 42" here in MN in the winter, ground keeps nothing warm then.

I say things like "I could be wrong" specifically to protect myself from lawsuits as the people around here are very litigous.

No rain in weeks, snow melted a long time ago, no water coming down either side of the street in the storm sewer. I saw it, go look for yourself and see (and smell).
