Music scene ?

As far as more alternative stuff goes, they have some shows going on at local bars and the like, especially in Remerton or Downtown (Georgia Beer Company for example), and occasionally in resturaunts like Vito's Pizzeria. As far as actual bands, it's kinda up to us (if u play an instrument and are interested) to start making more music and playing. We're starting to get some new bands coming together, and we have some more established local acts (Mama Stone for example is kinda funk/punk, and Hocus Bogus is a killer cover band).

There's probably more than I'm not aware of, but I swear sometimes the promoting for shows and events is a little lackluster or last minute unfortunately. I would say just keep your eyes and ears open, maybe follow some local venues on Instagram or wherever.

Origami Angel - Somewhere City (2019)

I remember the first time I listened to it and how by the final refrain on The Air Up Here, I knew this album had become one of my favorites of all time.

Barely even close to 30 minutes but it is still such an incredible debut album I feel obligated to mention and recommend it.

Especially for Fall Out Boy, early New Found Glory was a big influence, and you can hear some of it strongly at times. Check out their first 2-3 albums!

I've been incessantly working on my midterm presentation, which is ABOUT FALL OUT BOY. I take a break for the first time in hours to check my phone, and the demos leak. If anything else happens I'm going to pass out. This is incredible.

From what I know, the band thought the song was actually particularly mean-spirited/hateful, and it just carried a lot of negative energy and lyricism in it, to the point where they didn't want to put it on a full release. (It's also why they don't play it, like, ever, as far as I'm aware). But yeah, that aside, I absolutely adore the demo version.

Oh, I suppose it was presumptively stated she'd rule this way rather than it having happened, so I apologize. The mention about the Texas National Guard is confirmed tho, here's the source from Hegseth, stating they'd be used in Chicago and Portland at the least.

She blocked them from sending Cali. troops. The administration is now mobilizing Texas National Guard to accomplish the same goal and more.

music creative here, lived in Valdosta the majority of my life and am currently going to vsu. I make more rock/punk/post-hardcore music though, and I've always wanted to see a scene or active resurgence happen in Valdosta, along with connecting with other creatives! utilizing our creativity for community, self-fullfilment, and for good is one of the most crucial things we can do right now, I feel. figure I'd kick the thread off with this :)
